The Dispatch ~April~ Newsletter

Dr. Kelsey here, your advocate for maternal and children's health!

Before I dive into this month's note,

I wanted to share something exciting!!!
I'm currently competing in a voting contest
for a $25,000 grant (a national competition)
and just made the top 5 spot!

Today is actually my cutoff day to advance
to the next round, and I'd appreciate your vote.
It's free, takes 30 seconds, and verifies
that you're a human through your FB login.
Vote for a change in maternal and infant health (https://entrepreneurofimpact.org/2026/dr-kelsey-z-daniels) .
Thank you so much for being in our corner!

Now for the good stuff: I want to tell you about a moment that stopped me in my tracks recently.

We hear all the time, "Why would a baby need a physical therapist?" "Isn't that a bit much?" "What do you actually help them with?" and I know as a provider exactly how the transformation goes, but so often there's a whole mountain of possibilities that people aren't always aware of.

But a recent transformation happened with a mom who reached out to me to help her with her 3rd baby, who was about a week old and having trouble breastfeeding, sleeping, bottle feeding, and even displaying apneic episodes (breathing issues - yes, as scary as it sounds).

I started seeing this mom and baby in their home at about a week old/week postpartum and kept a flexible but effective frequency. We touched base on strategies, and they received videos of exercises and encouragement throughout the journey.

At around 2 months, I got a message from the mom after she visited a specialist, saying, "It's so great I have you in my corner because you knew from the beginning." She felt validated, supported, and confident in making the decision that fit her and her child the best, versus feeling like she was being passed from specialist to specialist with no real plan.

Remember 2 things can be true: you can feel heard *and* utilize the team of specialists with expert knowledge. You don't have to choose. And this goes for your health and your baby's development.

So hopefully this note offers a reflection that there’s a buzz of fresh, new energy, but keeping a little bit of that for your wellness is ok too, amongst the spirit week, work deadlines, and remembering to nurture your longevity.

~Dr. Kelsey~
Whether you’re navigating the newborn haze or the “I just signed up for too many things” season, this is your gentle reminder — you’ve got direction, and you’re not walking this path alone.

PS: If any part of this resonated with you,
I'd appreciate your vote. (https://entrepreneurofimpact.org/2026/dr-kelsey-z-daniels)
The cutoff is tonight, and one is all it takes :)

And... check out the IG broadcast channel for the events you’ve been asking for!

The way moms show up for the whole family...
but still find a way to keep building something for the long term.

That’s why I do what I do.

As a physical therapist and business cheerleader, I get to support women - especially moms - in feeling strong in their bodies and confident in their dreams.

I’ve chosen to be compete for the Entrepreneur of Impact, and if I win, the $25K grant would help me continue pouring into programs/events/care for women like YOU - through healing, support, and growth.

If you believe in supporting women like this, I’d be so grateful for your vote!

(takes 30 sec and is verified through your FB account)
