Hi All! I just wanted to take a moment to welcome the new followers. Welcome!!!

Death Café Las Vegas is not a "me thing."

Yes, it fills my souls to bring like-minded individuals together to discuss life's most defining moments. Yes, I feed on learning people's stories, thoughts, and beliefs. And yes, I especially love when folks feel safe enough to divulge their deepest fear or grief.

I am also entertained by the dark humor they sometimes bring!

That being said, this is not the reason I created Death Café Las Vegas.

People are afraid to discuss, plan, or question death and dying for many reasons:

- talking about will make it come sooner
- people will think I'm weak for being afraid
- I'll just "tough it out" when the time comes
- my family knows what I want, no need to write it down
- I'm young, I'll think about it later

And more.

I had a wonderful conversation with a dear friend today and she said "What we fear in death is what we fear in life." Facing what we fear about death and dying is a powerful catalyst for living a full, enjoyable life! This is the "Why" behind these cafés.
