Solstice Tattoo is about transformation.
I wanted to open a studio that represented transformation of the individual of self confrontation of self development of overcoming ones self. I was in a dark place once I found that if I look up to the light and simply kept moving forward I have something brighter to reach for. So that is what Solstice Tattoo Studio represents as a brand and why I went with the name Solstice. The Solstice which happens in the summer and winter is the two periods of the year when experience the longest day and the longest night. To put my own personal and figuratively spin to it, I have found that our darkest moments compliment our brightest days, I use it as a symbolism.
I wanted to make a statement with a brand that focuses on an individuals self expression, self development and intelligence. I chose the sun symbol because it is used as a symbol of intelligence, we say people are bright, or enlightened. The torch represents a light to guide your way on this journey, in my symbolism, it’s the design process, making your vision and tattoo design come to life, what makes you you, and we wear that on our skin.
