I have been sitting with sound for a long time.

Long before I became a licensed clinical social worker, I was drawn to vibration; to the way a singing bowl could quiet a room, shift a nervous system, and reach places that words simply could not.

Now I teach it.

The Sound Healing Facilitator Certification is not just a weekend workshop. It is a clinical, somatic, and spiritually grounded immersion into the science and art of sound healing; led by me, Toshia Shaw, LCSW, through the lens of my Somatic Sound Therapy approach.

We go deep into:
🎵 How sound impacts the autonomic nervous system and stress response
🎵 Trauma-informed facilitations; consent, pacing, and safety
🎵 Working with crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, gongs, and wind chimes
🎵 Facilitating sound baths and one-on-one sound healing sessions
🎵 Somatic and energetic tracking during sound experiences

This is for therapists, coaches, yoga teachers, healers, and wellness practitioners who are ready to do this work with clinical grounding and integrity.

Stop, you don't need to be strong, you need to rest your nerves. At Flowing Lotus Center we will ensure that you do just that 🪷

You don’t need to push through everything.
Sometimes your body just needs a moment to feel safe again.

Our Sacred Restoration Sessions are designed to help you: slow down, release what you’ve been holding, and reset your nervous system.

This is where the tension softens.
Where the mind quiets.
Where you finally exhale.

Come back to yourself.

Good morning to every woman who was told “it’s just aging” while her body was clearly in distress.

It’s not just aging.
It’s hormones crashing.
It’s your nervous system fried.
It’s inflammation.
It’s sleep deprivation.
It’s being expected to function like nothing is shifting.

Nobody warned us that perimenopause could feel like anxiety out of nowhere.
Like heart palpitations.
Like weight gain when you’re barely eating.
Like rage that scares you.
Like brain fog that makes you question your brilliance.

And then they hand you a prescription and send you home.

No ma’am.

I wrote Sacred & Strong because I refuse to let women think they’re broken when they’re actually transitioning.

This is a recalibration.
This is a rite of passage.
This is power if you know how to work with your body instead of against her.

If your body has been screaming for support, don’t ignore it.
Download the ebook and start naturally supporting your hormones, gut, and nervous system today.

We are not declining.
We are evolving.

I recorded this self-love meditation back in 2018.

At the time, I was teaching it.
What I didn’t realize was how much I would need it myself.

Over the years, this meditation has quietly supported my clients… and me.

Women calming their nervous systems.
Women reopening guarded hearts.
Women learning how to sit still without feeling unsafe in their own bodies.

Before “regulation” became mainstream.
Before midlife wellness had language.
This work was already happening.

Some things don’t expire.
They mature.

This one matured with me.

If you’ve been needing something steady, heart-centered, and grounding… it’s still here.

Self-love is the foundation where all other love stems from. Self-love comes from our fourth heart chakra, or "Anahata." Anahata is the chakra of peace, love...

Some of you are waiting to feel “ready.”

Ready to start.
Ready to change.
Ready to leave.
Ready to become.

But readiness doesn’t always arrive as confidence.

Sometimes it arrives as discomfort.

As holy discontent.

As that quiet voice that won’t let you stay where you are.

Growth isn’t loud.
It’s disciplined.
It’s private.
It’s consistent.

You don’t need permission.

You need obedience to what you already know.

God isn’t asking you to be perfect.

He’s asking you to be aligned.

And alignment requires courage.

So if you’ve been feeling the stretch… good.

That means you’re expanding.

Don’t shrink back now. 🤍

It’s okay to not have everything figured out.

It’s not okay to bully yourself because you don’t.

You are allowed to be in process.
You are allowed to be evolving.
You are allowed to change your mind.

Healing is not a straight line. It is a sacred spiral.

If you’re still here, still trying, still praying, still doing the work… you’re winning.

Keep going.

Poverty is a form of trauma, and until you heal that form of trauma. You won't rise from thinking and living in lack.

Today, as we celebrate Mother’s Day, let’s remember the strength and resilience of all women, regardless of their journey to motherhood. To those who have faced infertility, miscarriage, or the loss of a child, your love and courage are not forgotten.

We honor the memory of mothers who are no longer with us, and the children who are dearly missed. And to those who carry the pain of being abandoned by their mothers, know that you are not defined by their absence.

Today, we hold space for all forms of motherhood and the complex emotions that accompany it. Sending love and support to every heart touched by the spectrum of maternal experiences. ”

As a Spiritual healer and part of the community it hurt my heart to read about the tragedy of the young lady who unalived herself and family. I’m reading so many unofficial diagnosis from people who don’t hold not one psychotherapy degree. Also, “Spiritual Psychosis” isn’t in the DSM-V, so you labeling her with that doesn’t make it so.

I’m also seeing some taunting and teasing her with joy?! Is this how far we’ve fallen?

Now is not the time to judge, make a mockery of, or jump on the bandwagon of ignorance.

It’s time to highlight the importance of mental health! Pressure insurances to cover EVERYONE, and do their part to make sure it’s accessible and please heed the warning signs.

Mental health is important and psychosis is real. It could happen to you or someone you love.

Lets’s talk about it, BEFORE it becomes a tragedy. Spiritual healers you know when someone is presenting with a mental health disorder, be responsible and refer them to a mental health professional instead of demonizing the field. You will be held accountable in the worst way if not.
