We may be small, but we are mighty. 🇨🇻
For years, when people asked where I'm from, I'd say Cape Verde and watch them reach for a map. Not anymore.
A nation of just over 500,000 people. Our first World Cup ever. And the Blue Sharks didn't just show up — they held Spain, drew with Uruguay, and became the smallest country in history to reach the knockout round. Then took the defending champions, Argentina, to extra time before bowing out with their heads held impossibly high.
We didn't come to make up the numbers. We came to make history. And we did.
So proud of you, Cape Verde. Always have been. 💙
