I’m a small-town girl from the Pacific Northwest🌲 who moved in 1965 to be with her family nestled alongside the Nevada desert 🏜️ lands–WoW! I arrived in a red Chevy Convertible 🚘 stuffed full of baby 👶🏻 and me and our precious belongings 🧳. After traveling in ... I found the address📍and with a tired baby in my arms, I used a door-knocker🚪bing,bing,bang! (I’d never seen one of those before.) My Mom opened the door. Ahhh, Michelle Renee and I were home.🏠

⏩ Fast forward … I went from wide-eyed and disbelieving how hot the weather 🥵 was in our new home, and how overwhelming the town’s buzzing activity felt, and feeling the wonder of the Las Vegas Strip! 🤩 It did not take me long to find a job at the Dunes Hotel 🏨 and then it was a short time until I was seated front row center at the Stardust Hotel 💫 with my parents. I was mesmerized by the dancers 👯‍♀️ on stage wearing headgear like the one in this picture…oh! and they wore little-to-no clothes, I might add. (My thoughts were…HOW can the dancers do thaat! Another WoW!) 😮

Yesterday, two-feet tall and fifty pounds of this rosy red wig ❤️ was on my head. I went instantly back to memories – oh, fond memories! I love I can remember…it just fortifies our dangle & dot mission to dare everyone to look at and do all they can to procure their own healthy brains. 🧠💪

I am so humbled and cherish my healthy memory and recall brain power …. such as it is and where it is today.

Historical accounts note that in the 1950s, the most lavish showgirl 💃 costumes, including the headpieces, were among the most expensive 💸 items in Las Vegas entertainment. For example, the first “Lido de Paris” showgirls at the Stardust ✨ in 1958 wore costumes that totaled $12,000 — more than the salary of many headliners at the time. By the mid‑1960s, these productions were still among the most expensive in the city, with headpieces and accessories being a major contributor to the total cost.

What is the #1 comment we hear? “She doesn’t look like she has Alzheimer’s.” Dangle does have plenty of scans and blood tests to confirm the presence of brain amyloid etc…
yet… she doesn’t own the prescribed narrative. She lives every single day the best she can— with purpose and humor.
