I teach yoga. Yoga changed my life.
Yoga helped me heal from trauma and self-destructive beahviours.
I teach, because I believe in how powerful yoga can be, and I'd love to see in you class!
But, teaching yoga isn't ALL I do, my whole career, my own business. For years since my first yoga training in 2016, I was trying to make it that, including going 1 year of full-time teaching in-person classes in Vegas. I've done a lot of things I'm proud of with yoga, some which I'm still doing:
I teach yoga for a national non-profit called The Phoenix that provide free activities for those in substance use recovery. I also sub when I can at , IMO the best studio in Vegas 😘
I've also been through many different yoga trainings, started my own podcast, put on so many different types of community events, met SO many incredible people. I've been privileged to teach yoga to those incarcerated, those in treatment centers, teens in psychiatric hospitals, unhoused adults and youth, in beautiful yoga studios, climbing gyms, sharing yoga in all sorts of places actually. I LOVE yoga and I love teaching it.
But I'm not trying to make yoga my whole career and identity anymore, at least right now. In current times, in Trump America and post-pandemic, truly it was very difficult and stressful trying to make a living 'just' teaching yoga. Not saying it's not possible, just saying I gave it a real go, and in this current timeline. It wasn't possible for me. I'm genuinely much happier teaching once or twice a week, and having a muggle job. It def helps that I work with amazing people in a meaningful place!
Maybe one day I'll open my own cute coffee shop/ art gallery/ community yoga space.... but for now I'll just stick to teaching a little, and living a LOT!
Stay tuned to see where I'm teaching, my current classes are about to begin on Sept 3rd - WEEKLY FREE YOGA The LGBTQ+ Center of Las Vegas 6-7pm. I'd love to see you there 💕🕉️🧘🏼♀️
