Locspiration Natural Hair & Beauty Salon was created out of my passion and love for natural hair! We are natural hairstylists, locticians, and Sisterlock Consultants who are specialists in holistic natural hair care for traditional locs, Sisterlocks™ & Brotherlocks™, Microlocs, and loose natural hair. Whether for kids through adults, I love walking my clients through their natural hair journey. I

Making loc care simple✨

As with any other hairstyle, locs need a routine when it comes to replenishing moisture. Locs need hydration to replenish moisture in your locs and then sealing in moisture with an oil.

Our Lemon Jazz collection covers all of these! Our hydration mist replenishes the moisture. Our oil seals that moisture in and adds shine.

There are differences in a HIGH QUALITY loc extension installation✨

Here are the 3 that stand out the most to us as an experienced loc specialist:

1. DENSITY MISMATCH: This is the biggest reason why people cut out improperly installed loc extensions. The density of the client’s hair does not match the density of the extension. Most likely, the extension is too big and heavy for the client’s hair. As a Loctician, you must be able to forecast how the client’s natural hair will swell when choosing size of loc extensions.

2. BEGINNING ON WEAK FOUNDATION: If a Loctician does not require a consultation, run! A proper consultation will include an assessment of your current condition of your natural hair. If the client has brittle hair or breakage, this is a weak foundation for starting locs. Beautiful locs are grown from a healthy scalp and current hair.

3. IMPROPER CrOCHET TECHNIQUE: Crochet is a skill. Knowing how to properly crochet is a must for loc extensions. Improper crochet tool size or technique can cause weak points in your loc extensions.

Meet Okpe. He came to see us because he saw our salon tagged by one of our regular guests whom he went to college with.

Okpe was experiencing hair thinning due to Vitamin D deficiency. He came to his appointment with a barrel loc style in his hair. We discussed some healthy hair habits for general loc care. We also discussed the benefits of our products and how it can support healthy hair habits. So he purchased some at his second visit🫶🏾💜
