Whether you’re meeting up with friends, bringing the family, or stopping in for a meal of your own, your evening can help support the life-changing work happening throughout our community.

A client in training finding their miracle.🐾

A service dog's journey starts long before they are matched with their partner. It starts as a tiny puppy learning the basics, growing and thriving with their puppy raiser. From there, they continue through their training journey, learning the skills they will need and growing into the dog they are meant to become.

Eventually, they reach the point where they begin working
toward a partnership with someone waiting for a service dog.

That journey can feel long. There is training, patience, uncertainty, and a lot of steps along the way. And there is a lot of heart from a lot of different people who help make each step possible.

And then, finally, there comes that moment when a dog and a person come together, and something changes.

A little more confidence.
A little more independence.
A little more hope for what comes next.

It starts with one paws... one hand at a time. ❤️

Last week, we announced our Giving Tuesday theme, Paws for the Future, and shared how we’re working toward creating brighter futures, one paw... one hand at a time.

But what does that really mean?

It means a client in training finding their miracle. A person finding comfort and smiles through a therapy dog visit. The future generations finding their voices and sharing their heart. A volunteer helping to make a difference.

Each of these moments starts with a connection. A paw. Or a hand. And together, those connections can create something that reaches far beyond one person or one dog. That is what creating brighter futures, one paw... one hand at a time, really means.

This Giving Tuesday, help us continue creating a brighter future for everyone. ❤️🐾

Congratulations to our newest team, Kory and Fred!

This marks the beginning of a wonderful partnership filled with growth, support, and companionship. Watching Fred reach this moment and begin this next chapter with Kory makes us so proud, and we’re excited to watch them continue to grow together.

Watching you both bond and work together has been truly inspiring to all of us. We are so proud of you and can’t wait to watch your journey as a team. 🐾💜

A day at the ballpark turned into something a little more special for service dog Astra and her family. 🐾⚾️❤️

Service dog Astra, along with her girl and family, had a great time at batting practice against the Phillies, watching the players warm up, making a few new friends, and even getting a few pets along the way, with permission, of course! 🐾❤️

There were smiles, new connections, and those little moments that remind us just how special the Nationals community can be. It was a very special time for all.

Community is built one connection at a time, and we're always happy to see one of our service dog teams start to truly shine and become part of the communities around them. ❤️

Today, that community happened to be at Nationals Park. 🐾⚾️
