Will assist and supervise adults with developmental disabilities in a residential, non-residential and/or community setting, ensuring their safety. Will provide instruction in daily living and social skills supporting the successful integration within the community. Will assist with personal care and facilitate communication needs. Will provide guidance to the individual to become self-confident, independent and engaged with their surroundings. Will operate company vehicles on a routine basis and personal vehicle when necessary. Work location my change.

Please consider making a donation to support our garden campaign. Our goal is to establish a vegetable garden at each of our group homes to provide our residents with an ongoing, educational and engaging activity and give them regular access to nutritious, organic vegetables. Additionally, we hope to use these gardens to engage with the numerous community gardens in Gwinnett County to develop relationships with our neighbors. Additionally, we have the basic components of a vegetable garden at another home - it “just needs a little love.” ...

30 Years of Community Living: The Administration for Community Living (ACL) has released 30 Years of Community Living for Individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities. Featuring infographics, photos, and accessible language, as well as personal perspectives on community living and inclusion shared by people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (ID/DD) who served as advisors to the project, the free digital book explores the evolution of integration and inclusion of people ID/DD in American society.

Free Resource: University of Minnesota's Institute on Community Integration has released another volume of Frontline Initiative! This is a free, online magazine publication for and about Direct Support Professionals. This edition includes stories from DSP's on how they responded to emergencies like fires, hurricanes and COVID-19, including facilitation of vaccine access for the people they support. You will also find a free COVID-19 virtual townhall support group, a person-centered response matrix and how UMN's DirectCourse online training aligns with crisis preparation and response!
