It's "Time to Fly" Tuesday!!! Everybody, sit up or stand up. Put your phone down!!! Breathe in proudly, slow breath out. Extend your arms straight out from your shoulders, like a bird. Palms facing forward, push your shoulder blades back and down, squeezing together, some reading back, chest open. Then, bring those hands together, shoulders still down and back, and have your hands slowly and controlled clap in front of you. Repeat 20 times. Don't forget to breathe. Let me know in the comments how it went! I'm always here. Kristina Koenig PT DPT, ROGUE PTSM, Mobile: 520.240.4991, Email: [email protected] Squatch Fuel Co. It's Freedom Friday, folks!!! Heading into the long weekend, I know we all have something fun we are planning to do, or if we don't, we need to make stuff happen! Today, and for every day, I want you to wake up in the morning and stretch
Reach for the sky, gently twist your torso side to side while focusing breathing. Sounds like you're ready for the day!

If you need any help with body mechanics, stretching or strengthening, please do call, text or email! I'm here!

Tuesday tune-up time, everyone!!!

This is the moment you need to get up. Yes, GET UP! Now, carefully read and remember these instructions before you set your phone down for 2 WHOLE MINUTES.

Stand (or sit tall if you are wheelchair/bed bound), in front of a mirror if possible, breathe in deeply through the nose, out strongly through your mouth. Smile. Laugh out loud. Sing. Whatever. I don't care, but it has to be happy. 😜

Hand(s) on your hips, shoulder blades back and down "in your pockets," squeeze your shoulder blades together and release along slowly with the breath. Look up, breathe, look forward, smile, breathe, and look down, breathe. Repeat. I bet you'll pass two minutes without realizing it. I just did!

Let me know how it went in the comments! ❤️

I love how this is explained!!! Eccentric (lengthening strength) and concentric (shortening strength) are both important in every part of our musculoskeletal system!

Why do some people lower slowly in Chaturanga… while others just drop?A big part of the answer comes down to something called eccentric contraction. When a mu...

Oh, Friday, how do we love thee? But wait, why are we so tired? Is it all we did? Is it everything we need to do? Is it gravity pulling us down?

I have an inkling it may be a combination of a lot of things, so here's a suggestion. Put down your phone for 2 minutes. (I hear the "but, I's....') resounding through the atmosphere. Hear me out. Go outside, look outside, and make yourself feel as tall as you can. Breathe, and move- walk, roll, skip, hop, whatever- forward and back, side to side for two minutes. That's it. That's all. Come back in, grab that phone, and let me know how that felt. Happy Friday! 🌻
