Are your lungs feeling dry and tight from wildfire smoke? Throat scratchy and sore? Irritated eyes and nasal passages?

Here are a few herbal self-care items available in the tea aisle at Safeway!

Throat Coat or Throat Comfort Tea: contain Slippery Elm, Mullien, Marshmallow and Licorice to support keeping the lungs, throat and nose moistened.

Breathe Easy Tea: Helps with overall lung health and bronchial spasms. Licorice and mint soothe airways.

Detox Tea varieties: Support the liver as it detoxes the pollutants we are breathing in. Reduces inflammation.

Mint teas: Relaxes airways. Reduces eye irritation.

Cover and steep for 10-15 minutes for maximum benefit. Add honey for additional soothing of airways.

Pears and apples are also great for nourishing the lungs!

It's GGCA's last day in the Leadville clinic space before we pass it on to Sol Community Acupuncture community acupuncture. Against the backdrop of a large wildfire in Leadville this day feels particularly emotional. In times like this, you really know what your community is made of, and how lucky we are to have such a strong sense of community.

It's been a beautiful few years of engaging with this community from the vantage point of my acupuncture stool. I met a number of people I may never have met otherwise, and saw new aspects of people I already knew. I am honored to have been a part of your healing journeys. There is truly something special that happens when we come together to heal.

GGCA is winding down its last couple of weeks - just 5 clinic days left! If you are reading this, it's time to get on Sarah's schedule at Sol Centered Community Acupuncture!

Sarah is in the clinic Thursday the 18th, and then will begin her regularly scheduled Wednesday, Thursday and Friday hours beginning on July 8th.

While Kerri will miss you all 😭 she is excited to leave you in Sarah's kind and capable hands.

It's been a great run for Greater Good Community Acupuncture in Leadville!

As Kerri plans to move back to her home state of Vermont later this summer, we are excited to announce that Sarah Street with Sol Centered Community Acupuncture will open up shop in our Leadville clinic space, beginning in July.

GGCA will continue appointments through June 30th, and Sol Centered will offer Thursday acupuncture on June 4th, 11th, and 18th to begin to transition patients.
