Hello! I’m Andrea—the grower, harvester, delivery driver, experimenter and somewhat reluctant social-media manager behind On the Edge Microgreens. 😊
Talking about myself has never come as naturally as talking about the things I care about, but I thought it might be time to introduce—or reintroduce—the person behind all those little greens.
On the Edge grew from my love of gardening, my fascination with how food supports the body and my lifelong tendency to learn everything I can about whatever catches my curiosity. I’m a retired postmaster, a student of holistic nutrition, a wife, mother and grandmother—and someone who believes meaningful change usually begins with one small, manageable step.
Around here, that step is often very small and very green. 🌱
I grow my microgreens in League City, tending each tray from seed to harvest. I’m constantly observing, taking notes and experimenting: which variety likes which shelf, how a tiny change affects germination and what combination might make an especially beautiful—or nutritious—blend. There is quite a bit of science involved, along with patience, instinct and the occasional stern conversation with a difficult tray of beets. 😂
If this page has been quiet lately, it isn’t because On the Edge has been. I’ve been growing, studying, working with nutrition-coaching clients and exploring where all of those interests might lead next. I’m not always very good at stopping in the middle of doing the work to post about the work.
But I’m still here—planting on Tuesdays, harvesting on Fridays and doing my best to grow good food for my community. Whether or not I remember to post about it, I’m always happy to take your order—just send me a message. 🌱
Thank you to everyone who has bought a container, tried something unfamiliar, shared a post, recommended me to a friend or simply followed along. This little business continues to grow because of you—and I’m very grateful you’re here. ❤️
