League City finally got cold 🥶 so I did what I always do… went straight to the Hot Boxes 🔥

Infrared heat is deep and gentle, not that suffocating kind. Robe on, phone on DND, shoulders dropping in minutes. And I sleep SO good after.

136 people. 30 red light sessions. Here’s what researchers found. 🔴

Most skincare claims come down to “it looks better.” This study didn’t stop there. Researchers measured what was happening beneath the surface.

In a randomized, controlled trial, 113 volunteers received red light twice a week and were compared with 23 controls.

After 30 sessions, researchers used:
• Ultrasound to measure collagen density
• Digital skin-surface scans to measure roughness
• Blinded expert review of clinical photos

The results: improved skin complexion, skin feeling, roughness and collagen density in the treated groups. Blinded experts rated wrinkles better in 69–75% of treated volunteers, compared with just 4% of controls.

Your skin isn’t just what you see in the mirror. Start with a 12-minute full-body red light session at Redsol Wellness Club in League City.

What happened when researchers used red light on wrinkles for 4 weeks? 🔴

Most people think red light is just a nice glow. This study measured what it actually does to skin.

In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial, 76 people with facial wrinkles received red and/or near-infrared light twice a week for four weeks.

The results:
• Up to 36% reduction in measured wrinkles
• Up to 19% increase in skin elasticity
• Researchers also observed an increase in collagen and elastic fibers

Red light isn’t just about the glow. There’s real science happening beneath the surface.

Red light therapy: the cellular upgrade. 🔴 From NASA-funded research to pro locker rooms, here’s the science.

Most people think red light is just a warm glow. It’s actually light your cells can use, and that’s why it shows up everywhere from skin clinics to recovery rooms.

Here’s what it does:

• What it is: red (~660nm) and near-infrared (~850nm) light your cells can absorb. Zero UV, no tan, no burn.

• How it works: an enzyme in your mitochondria absorbs the light, helping support ATP, the energy every cell runs on.

• Skin: in a 136-person controlled trial, 30 sessions improved collagen density and skin texture.
• Recovery: studies suggest it can support muscle performance and recovery after training.
• Sleep: athletes who got 14 nights of whole-body red light slept better and had higher melatonin than a placebo group.

The biggest mistake is spot-only coverage and skipped sessions. Go full body, and stay consistent.

14 nights of red light raised melatonin 63%. Here’s how to use it after work. 🌙

In a 2012 study, 20 athletes got whole-body red light every night for two weeks. Their melatonin ended up about 63% higher than a placebo group’s, and their sleep-quality scores improved.

Why the evening matters: most of us spend it in blue light from screens, which suppresses melatonin. Red light doesn’t, so it won’t fight your wind-down.

Your after-work reset:

4–7pm: a 12-minute full-body red light session at Redsol

Home: dim the lights and go warm
An hour before bed: screens off

You’ve probably seen the red light thyroid study going around. Here’s what it actually found, and what it doesn’t mean.

In 2013, researchers in São Paulo gave 43 people with Hashimoto’s either near-infrared light aimed at the thyroid or a placebo light. Nine months later, the light group needed about 64% less thyroid medication than the placebo group. A follow-up six years later found that difference was still there.

Other research is building on it. A 2020 study of 350 people found that light therapy plus supplements lowered thyroid antibodies more than supplements alone.

It’s promising, but it’s not proven. The studies are small, most come from one research team, and they used a targeted laser on the neck, not a full-body bed.

Red light is not a replacement for thyroid medication. Never change your dose without talking to your doctor.

Red light panel or full-body bed?
Here’s the breakdown.

Both use the same science: red and near-infrared light that your cells absorb. The real difference comes down to three things.

Coverage: a panel lights one area at a time. A full-body bed covers you head to toe, front and back, all at once.

Time: typical at-home guidance is 20–30 minutes per area, so covering your back, legs and face takes 60–90 minutes. A full-body session at Redsol is 12 minutes, start to finish.

Consistency: the best routine is the one you keep. At home, you set it up, aim it and time every round. At Redsol, you book, lie down, and you’re done.

A panel is a great tool for one spot at home. For full-body red light in 12 minutes, that’s what the bed is for.

What is red light therapy? Here’s the 60-second science.

The science name is photobiomodulation: photo (light), bio (life), modulation (change). It means using specific wavelengths of light to support how your cells work.

Two wavelengths do the work. Red light (~630–660nm) is absorbed closer to the surface, where your skin lives. Near-infrared (~810–850nm) travels deeper into tissue and muscle.

Inside your cells, mitochondria have an enzyme called cytochrome c oxidase that absorbs this light, which helps support ATP production, the energy your cells run on.

The dose matters too: more isn’t better, consistent is. Regular sessions beat occasional marathon ones.

Members use it for skin, recovery, energy, and a quiet 12-minute reset.

Fatigue, brain fog, slow recovery, dull skin. Most people blame willpower, but a lot of it comes down to energy at the cellular level.

Inside almost every cell are mitochondria, tiny power plants that make ATP, the energy your body runs on. Stress, poor sleep, screens, age and inflammation all drain them.

Red light therapy uses specific red and near-infrared wavelengths that your mitochondria absorb, helping support how your cells produce energy. It’s why our members keep coming back for recovery, skin, energy and a warm, quiet reset.

Save this for the next time you’re dragging at 2pm. ⚡
