Did you know (per National Institute of Health):

The average length of a physical therapy career is 7 years? Those who pass this mark tend to find a niche or migrate to academics to get away from the burnout effects of high volume, insurance influenced practice.

Did you know a nationwide PT chain (EXOS) opened and closed an office just south of Leavenworth between 2021 and 2024?

As a provider with 12 years of conventional practice followed by 14 years of neuromuscular focused practice I can say I offer what many others cannot, even though I don't have all the space and equipment a regular clinic offers.

A gentle reminder than treating a portion of the area that has pain (or in this case, rain) takes care of that area specifically.

About 12 years ago Washington state entered a several year window where physical therapists were barred from dry needling except for federal facilities. Other than me using the discrepancy as a reason for TriCare beneficiaries to take the time to travel to a military treatment facility there was nothing gained with that decision.

OPINION: The California Legislature is advancing a problematic bill that would allow physical therapists to perform dry needling on patients, licensed acupuncturist Carissa Cheung writes.

Driving from Manhattan to Leavenworth this morning I observed a pair of deer run across the divided highway (US 24) in front of a car maybe 100 meters ahead of me; the car slowed down enough to let the first deer get by but hit the second deer on its back half and sent it flying off the shoulder.

It reminded me of the second segment of the attached video, but there is still a clear difference between an actual impact and the close call!

For those who ask:
Is this a temporary fix? How long will this last? Can I treat in advance of an expected insulting event?

Direct treatment for neuromuscular based symptoms with dry needling compares to bankruptcy, without having several years of penalty. It resets the balance and clears the prior 'debt' that you could not address; however, how you 'conduct business' from that time on will determine how long you remain conflict free. If someone has good financial habits, then clearing the history of buying a house just before a market crash will make a long term difference. If someone spends a lot on credit monthly, then the effect is ridiculously short lived. Unfortunately, like bankruptcy there is no payment of debt that has not yet been drawn / accumulated.
