For Andrew, a lifelong racing fan, there was no better place to Live A Dream than the Indianapolis Motor Speedway! 🏎️❤️

Andrew’s dream was to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum and experience the history of racing up close. With his family by his side, Andrew spent the day exploring the museum, taking in the incredible cars, memorabilia, and history surrounding a sport he has enjoyed for so many years.

But we couldn’t stop there! We wanted to make Andrew’s day even more memorable with a special surprise—giving him an experience that went beyond simply visiting the museum and turned his love of racing into a day he and his family could truly enjoy together.

Seeing Andrew surrounded by the excitement of the Speedway and getting to share such a special day with the people he loves is exactly what our Live A Dream program is all about. It’s more than checking something off a list—it’s about celebrating our residents, the things they love, and the memories that make them who they are. 🏁

A sweet treat for an even sweeter team! 🍌🍨🍒

Our staff got to enjoy a Build-Your-Own Banana Split Cart, complete with ice cream and plenty of delicious toppings to choose from! It was the perfect afternoon pick-me-up and a fun way to show a little extra appreciation to the amazing team that makes Homewood such a special place every day. 💛

We’re always happy to find a reason to celebrate our staff—especially when ice cream is involved! 🍦✨

At Homewood, we encourage our residents to continue doing the things they’ve always loved—because home is about keeping the traditions, hobbies, and passions that bring us joy.

Darlene brought a little taste of home to our campus by making her homemade pecan pies for residents and staff to enjoy! 🥧 There’s nothing quite like a homemade pie made with love, and we’re so thankful Darlene shared one of her favorite traditions with her Homewood family. ❤️

Sometimes, the simplest dreams can mean the most. When Lois shared her Live A Dream wish with us, all she wanted was to enjoy a special dinner date with her husband, Donald. Little did we know, Donald—who calls Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville home—had shared a very similar wish of his own: to spend a special evening with his wife. ❤️

With two dreams and one very special couple, Homewood and Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville knew we had to make it an evening to remember!

Lois traveled to Crawfordsville, where Donald was waiting to welcome her with a dozen red roses and lots of love. The two spent time together catching up before being whisked away on their very own “Trip to Paris.”

Their private dining space was transformed with soft lighting, music, rose petals, and Parisian touches, creating the perfect setting for an elegant date night. Private Chef, Chefski, prepared a beautiful multi-course dinner featuring a charcuterie board, corn bisque, filet mignon, mashed potatoes, roasted Brussels sprouts, and vanilla bean cheesecake with mixed berry compote. 🍽️✨

But the most special part of the evening wasn’t the decorations or the food—it was simply watching Lois and Donald be together again. Talking, laughing, holding hands, and enjoying the kind of quality time that means so much when you’ve spent months apart.

Two campuses. Two dreams. One beautiful love story. ❤️

We are so grateful to everyone at Homewood and Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville who came together to give Lois and Donald an evening centered around what truly matters: love, connection, and making memories together.

What’s the best way to brighten up a week of gloomy weather? Employee Appreciation! ☀️💙

Throughout the week, we made sure our amazing staff across all shifts knew just how much they are appreciated! Each day brought a new treat, including a twisted Soda Cart, Donut Holes, Mini Pancake Bar, Build-Your-Own Omelet Bar, and to finish off the week… a Taco Bar! 🌮🥞🍩🥤

We are so grateful for the dedication, compassion, and hard work our team brings to Homewood each and every day. Thank you for everything you do for our residents and for one another! 💙

🍓🫐 We had a BERRY amazing time at Homewood’s Berry Bash! 🫐🍓
Our evening was packed with carnival games, delicious BBQ made by Chef Doug and Robin, live music from Cole W., raffles, a cakewalk, a dunk tank, and even a school supply giveaway for the kiddos! 🎶🍰🎟️
We ended the night with some of our management team getting PIE’D in the face, all while raising money to support Alzheimer’s! 💜🥧
Thank you to our residents, families, staff, community members, and local hospice partners who came out and made our first Berry Bash one to remember! 🍓💕

Some places hold more than memories—they hold pieces of our hearts. ❤️
For Lynette, Raccoon Lake has always been one of those places. It was where she and her husband were married, where they spent their honeymoon together in a cozy lakeside cabin, and where countless summers were spent making treasured memories with their family. After her husband's passing, returning to the lake was something she had only dreamed about. With so many of life's most meaningful moments tied to Raccoon Lake—including one of its quiet coves where her husband's ashes were lovingly spread—it has always held an immeasurable place in her heart.

Thanks to our Live A Dream program, that dream became a reality. Surrounded by her family and supported by the Homewood team, Lynette spent the day back on the water, soaking up the sunshine, sharing laughter, and reminiscing about the beautiful life and memories she created there over the years.
One of the most touching moments of the day came as the boat passed the very cabin where Lynette and her husband spent their honeymoon. As familiar landmarks came into view, stories were shared, smiles filled the air, and precious memories came rushing back. It was a beautiful reminder that while time moves forward, the places that hold our greatest joys and deepest love remain forever etched in our hearts.

This day was so much more than a boat ride—it was a journey back to the place where a lifetime of love began, where a family grew, and where one final piece of her husband's story still rests. Being able to revisit those meaningful places with the people she loves made this dream truly unforgettable.

We're honored to have played a small part in bringing Lynette back to a place that will always feel like home. Moments like these remind us that the greatest gifts aren't always found in new adventures, but in returning to the places that shaped our lives and reconnecting with the memories that continue to live on. 💙
