This Memorial Day, we were honored to welcome the Boone County VA as they led a meaningful ceremony to remember and recognize the brave men and women who have served our country. Residents gathered to witness a moving flag-folding ceremony, during which one of our veterans was presented with the folded flag as a symbol of honor and gratitude. The ceremony continued with a traditional 21-gun salute, and residents were given commemorative shell casings to remember the occasion. As we watched the American flag wave proudly and listened to the solemn notes of Taps, we reflected on the sacrifices made by our nation's heroes and the freedoms they have helped preserve. It was a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to our veterans, the fallen, and all those who have served. We are grateful for the opportunity to honor their legacy and remember the true meaning of Memorial Day.

Last week we had our very first divisional outing of the year, and it was such a special day! 💛
We kicked things off with lunch at Garage Food Hall, where residents and staff got to choose from 20+ different food options—there was something for everyone, which made it even more fun! 🍽️

After lunch, we spent the afternoon at Garfield Park Conservatory and the Sunken Gardens. The flowers and greenery were absolutely beautiful, and it was the perfect setting to relax, explore, and enjoy time together. 🌸🌿

A wonderful day filled with good food, fresh air, and even better company! 😊

Homewood’s spring fling elegant dinner was truly unforgettable! It was a night where we celebrated our residence like royalty, with residents and staff dressed to the nines.

We enjoyed a gourmet dinner and live music. Selected residents from both assisted living and health center were crowned King and Queen of our spring fling by the votes of their fellow residents and staff members, making it an amazing night.

It’s truly wonderful to be able to give our residents these amazing experiences! 💐👑
