Raw carrots contain fibers that help bind and eliminate excess estrogen and toxins through the digestive tract, while also providing antioxidants and nutrients that can help support our overall gut health. Our hormones are made in our gut!

If you’re dealing with estrogen dominance symptoms like PMS, painful periods, breast tenderness, mood swings, heavy cycles, or stubborn weight gain, supporting estrogen detoxification is key and having raw carrot salad may help!

Trying to switch your products to nontoxic ones with better ingredients can feel very daunting and it’s hard to know where to start. I educate my patients on how their environment and the products they put on their skin affect their hormones, their entire endocrine system, and their overall health. Everyone has a toxin bucket….. and little repeated exposures every day fill that bucket, once it starts overflowing is when you start seeing signs of dysregulation and dysfunction in your health.
All of these can be found at

There can be a lot of supplements out there that you feel like you need to take when you’re trying to conceive. Or I hear a lot that patients don’t start taking anything until they’re already pregnant. It’s important for your body to already be in an optimal state when you get pregnant. It is recommended to start preparing your body at least 3 to 6 months in advance if not a year in advance of wanting to conceive!!!! Here are my non-negotiables. I listed a few more but the top 3 are a high quality prenatal, vitamin d, and high quality fish oil. Brands definitely matter for the quality and getting the optimal amount to be able to support a healthy pregnancy. This is one of my favorite things to help clients with. Everyone that wants to become a mother and bring life into this world should get that opportunity🤎There are so many environmental toxins and exposures that are increasing our rates of fertility 1% every year. That’s scary to think about how preveleant infertility is right now and for the generations to come. Comment ‘PRENATAL’ for my top favorite prenatal brands.

Which one of these was surprising to you? 👀
Most of us were given birth control in our teens and are now having so many symptoms or infertility or chronic diseases. Or we grew up eating fruit loops and wonder bread and now are showing up with insulin resistance and weight gain. Whatever it may be for you there’s ways to support your body back to optimal health.

Reposting with permission from an amazing patient testimonial on Instagram. Seeing someone get to become a mother and someone getting to grow a family when they thought it could be out of reach….seeing someone’s health transform naturally & not just covering things up with medications that are bandaids…supporting the body the way it needs supported instead of just suppressing it….it’s why I do what I do. 🤍

Men……..“Your testosterone is normal.”

That range is statistical and based on me of all health statuses it’s not individualized.

So being “in normal range” doesn’t tell you much about how you should feel.

There’s a difference between:
normal → not flagged on a lab
optimal → actually functioning well

If you’re:
low energy
low drive
low motivation
low libido
not recovering in the gym
weight gain
irritable/poor mood
not making progress

…that all matters more than where you fall on a reference range.

Normal isn’t the goal. Optimal is.

Your environment is constantly influencing your hormones. From the moment you wake up, everyday products can be quietly affecting your endocrine system:

• Makeup & Skincare – parabens, synthetic fragrance, chemical preservatives
• Shampoo & Body Wash – phthalates and fragrance
• Toothpaste – triclosan and artificial dyes
• ETC

These chemicals can mimic estrogen, disrupt thyroid function, and impact overall hormone balance.

You don’t need to go 100% toxin-free overnight. Start small so it’s not overwhelming. If you want my favorite brands of each of these that are low tox options DM me!

As an integrative nurse practitioner, one of the biggest misconceptions I see is the belief that all “progesterone” is the same. It’s not.

There is a major difference between bioidentical progesterone and synthetic progestins commonly found in hormonal birth control and some hormone therapies.

Here are a few key distinctions:

Bioidentical Progesterone
• Structurally identical to the progesterone your body naturally makes
• Supports ovulation and normal menstrual cycle signaling
• Often promotes calming effects in the brain through GABA receptors
• Can support sleep, mood balance, and healthy hormone signaling
•Anti cancer properties and decreases overall inflammation

Synthetic Progestins
• Structurally different from human progesterone
• Designed to suppress ovulation, which eliminates ovulation as a hormonal signal. Our menstrual cycle is our 5th vital sign.
• Can bind to androgen and estrogen receptors, creating effects that natural progesterone does not (weight gain, acne, oily skin, low libido)
• Associated in research with changes in mood, anxiety, and depressive symptoms in some women
• Certain formulations used in hormone therapy have been linked in studies to increased cardiovascular and breast cancer risk

Because of these structural differences, synthetic progestins do not act the same way in the body as true progesterone.

Hormones are powerful messengers, so the type and structure matter.

If you’re navigating hormone therapy, birth control decisions, or hormone symptoms, understanding these differences is important so you can make informed choices about your health.
