While many people get regular massages or love a visit to a spa, they don't fully understand what all is happening to their body. So we are breaking down the basics for you, and here's a question we get often: What even is Reiki?!

Reiki, or energy work, is a very relaxing form of energy healing that helps locate and remove stuck trauma or negative energy that the body holds on to, sometimes for years after a traumatic event. Reiki is a modality where the practitioner is trained to use special techniques to locate and heal stuck energy.

Amy is certified in this and is a level 3 practitioner. It can be hands-off, but Amy prefers to use it during the massage to promote extra relaxation and vulnerability to enhance the experience.

➡ If you want to feel relaxed, be less stressed or tense, or get help working through trauma trapped in your body, we highly recommend you book a massage with us soon! Massages aren't just an escape, they're a necessity.

Mike and Amy will be out of office for the next few days but back and ready to care for you all again on Wednesday, September 2!

They are excited to be learning and growing as massage therapists at the American Massage Therapy Association National Convention in Denver, Colorado, where they will be learning new skills and techniques with hands-on education sessions, hearing from motivating speakers, and connecting with massage therapists from all around the country. They are dedicated to being the best massage therapists they can be to better serve you all when they get back home!
