Great example of “Fighting fair” while honoring your boundaries!

Most fights escalate because people get defensive. They hear criticism instead of a bid for connection. These phrases disarm defensiveness by separating intent from impact and making it clear you're trying to work together, not assign blame.

When you frame conflict as "us versus the problem" instead of "me versus you," everything shifts. That's how you create space for repair instead of more damage.
