Each participant will craft an 18 to 20-inch, single sided, maple wood frame medicine drum of either Deer, Elk, or Buffalo hide. (Size and hide subject to supplier availability) Each hide choice brings with it a unique energy.
Those who have experience birthing drums are invited to create a 24-inch drum. Please reach out to Kimberly for prices and registration for Advanced Drum Creation.
We will begin the workshop with ceremony connecting to Mother Earth and to the heartbeat of your drum. The drum is then tied and coaxed into form…all the while receiving your energy and intentions. Finally, it is laced in a sacred pattern representing the medicine wheel and four cardinal directions. You will leave the workshop with a completed raw drum. The drum takes about a week to naturally dry/cure in a cool, dry location. Once dry, it can be personalized with paint, beads or feathers if desired. Each drum is unique in color and tone. An information packet including drum aftercare and shea butter are included.
Everything you need to create your drum and be**er will be provided. You can bring your own stick to create a be**er if you wish, but one will be provided.
This is an indoor event. Dress for comfort, as birthing drums is intense work…but EXTREMELY rewarding!

I'm still integrating the healing and beauty of The Find Your Fire 🔥 Women’s Camping Experience. 30 women... some meeting for the first time upon arrival... ate meals together, sat in ceremony together, awakened their inner children through silliness and creativity, slept in communal bunk rooms... together.
Yet the need for space to process, sink into solitude, and feed each individual's needs were DEEPLY honored in the most natural and organic way. Watching these women nurture, empower, and deeply love one another so naturally... it was a dream of mine realized in real time!
I dreamed of women sitting in circle like the old ones have done... to honor each other without judgement, without competition... raw, vulnerable... Divinely Gorgeous.
This weekend was the beginning of a magickal remembering. Blessed beyond measure!
