Together Thursday 💜

Not every relationship needs more time.

Sometimes it just needs more presence.

A conversation where the phone gets put down.
A hug that lasts an extra few seconds.
Remembering to ask, “How are you really doing?”
Sitting together without needing to fill the silence.
Sending the text when someone crosses your mind.
Listening without immediately trying to fix.

We can love people deeply and still get caught up in the busyness of life. We assume they know what they mean to us—and hopefully they do.

But there’s something beautiful about making sure they feel it, too.

Connection isn’t always built through big moments. More often, it’s strengthened through the small, intentional ways we keep choosing one another.

So maybe today, reach toward someone you love.

Not because anything is wrong.

Simply because they matter. 💜

Rooted in balance, growing in grace.

🌿 Wellness Wednesday | Let Your Wellness Shift With the Season

September has a way of changing the rhythm.

The mornings get cooler. The days slowly get shorter. Schedules settle back in. And just like nature begins preparing for a new season, our bodies and minds may be asking for a shift too.

Wellness doesn’t have to look the same all year long. Maybe summer called for adventure, movement, and long days outside. Autumn may call for warmer meals, earlier evenings, slower mornings, more rest, and routines that help you feel grounded.

Pay attention to what your body is asking for instead of forcing yourself to keep the same pace simply because it worked before.

We are allowed to have seasons, too. 🍂

Rooted in balance. Growing in grace.

✨ Little Truth Tuesday ✨

You don’t have to understand everything while you’re living through it.

Sometimes we’re so quick to ask, What is this teaching me? Why is this happening? What am I supposed to take from this?

But not every season needs to make sense right away.

Sometimes your only job is to live it.
To feel what you feel.
To make the next best choice you can.
To give yourself grace when you don’t have all the answers.

The clarity may come later.

And one day, you may look back and realize that somewhere in the middle of simply living… you were growing all along. 🌿

Little truth: You don’t need the lesson before you’re allowed to move through the experience.

🌿 Community Sunday 🌿

Some of the most meaningful parts of life aren’t the big moments.

They’re the people who check in.
The friend who knows when something is off.
The family member who always makes you laugh.
The person who celebrates your wins without comparison and sits beside you when life feels heavy.

Community isn’t about having a huge circle. It’s about having a genuine one.

And maybe part of wellness is recognizing just how much those connections nourish us, too. 💜

Today, think of someone who makes your life a little better simply because they’re in it.

Better yet… tell them. 🫶

🌿 Peaceful Saturday 🌿

Maybe today’s intention can simply be to enjoy the life happening around you.

Coffee that stays hot long enough to enjoy it.
Music playing while you putter around the house.
A little time outside.
Bare feet in the grass.
Something delicious from the garden.
A conversation that makes you laugh.

We spend so much of life looking for the big moments that sometimes we forget just how meaningful the ordinary ones can be.

There doesn’t always have to be more to accomplish.

Sometimes the intention can simply be to notice, enjoy, and be present for the life you’re already living. 💜

✨ Feel Good Friday — Dolly Edition ✨

Some Fridays just call for a little Dolly. 💗

Big hair.
Big heart.
A whole lot of sparkle.
And absolutely no interest in being anyone other than herself.

There’s something pretty wonderful about a woman who can laugh at herself, love people fiercely, dream ridiculously big, and never make herself smaller to make someone else comfortable.

So maybe that’s our Feel Good Friday reminder this week…

✨ Be kind.
✨ Laugh often.
✨ Wear the thing that makes you feel fabulous.
✨ Dream a little bigger.
✨ And never apologize for taking up space exactly as you are.

Life is far too short to dim your sparkle. 😉

Here’s to channeling a little Dolly energy into our weekend. 💗✨

Together Thursday 💜

No one really prepares you for the emotions that come with watching your children grow up.

My mom used to talk about the emotional roller coaster of raising children—the pride, the excitement, the worry, and the ache that comes with every new chapter. I heard her… but I’m not sure I truly understood her.

Then my son graduated a year ago.

Suddenly, I understood.

And now my youngest is starting her freshman year of high school, and this mama is feeling all of it. 🥹

Four years.

Four more first days of school. Four years of watching her learn, change, stumble, grow and become even more of who she is meant to be. And then, before I know it, she’ll be stepping into her own adult life.

There is so much joy in watching our children grow—but there is grief tucked into it, too. Not because we don’t want them to grow, but because we know we can’t keep any version of them forever.

Motherhood is constantly asking us to hold on and let go at the very same time.

And maybe that’s why these milestones hit so hard. They remind us just how quickly the ordinary days become the days we would give anything to have back for just a moment.

So, to all the parents feeling a little extra emotional as another school year begins—I see you. 💜

Take the pictures. Give the extra hug. Let yourself cry in the car if you need to. 😂 And then celebrate the incredible privilege of getting a front-row seat as they become who they’re meant to be.

And Mom… I get it now. 💜

Grief is sneaky…

Sometimes it doesn’t come with a warning. It simply finds you in the middle of an ordinary moment.

Seeing all the teachers posting pictures of their classrooms has me missing my Mutant Twin. 💜 Missing those yearly pictures and videos she would send, sharing her excitement as she got her classroom ready for another school year.

And just as those memories were taking up a little extra space in my mind and my heart started to hurt… Watermelon Moonshine started playing on Pandora.

Lainey Wilson.

The last concert we went to together. Celebrating our 38th birthdays. Singing, laughing, living—having absolutely no idea how precious that memory would become.

And just like that, grief and gratitude were sitting side by side.

The ache of missing her.
The gratitude that I got to have her.
The memories that can still make me smile through tears.

Grief really is sneaky like that. A picture. A season. A song. And suddenly someone you love feels both impossibly far away and right there with you.

Forever my Mutant Twin.
Forever part of me.
Forever 38. 💜

Olivia Mae

Over the past couple of Wednesdays, I’ve shared some pretty raw thoughts about childhood, healing, and forgiving our parents.

But there’s another side of this conversation that I don’t think we talk about enough…

What if we get to build something new?

As children, we knew our parents simply as Mom or Dad.

As adults, we have the opportunity to meet the people behind those titles.

And sometimes, when forgiveness, accountability, boundaries, and grace are present, something beautiful happens.

We stop expecting them to become the parents we wish we’d had at every moment…

and begin discovering who they are today.

And they get the opportunity to discover who we’ve become too.

Not every parent-child relationship can or should be rebuilt. Healing doesn’t require reconciliation.

But when the relationship is healthy, when both people are willing, and when love and respect exist…

we can create a relationship that isn’t constantly trying to repair yesterday.

We can create one that belongs to today.

Adult children and their parents can laugh together.
Learn one another.
Have honest conversations.
Create new memories.
And sometimes even become friends.

Maybe forgiveness isn’t the end of the story.

Maybe it’s where a new one gets to begin. 🧡
