Rainy weather? Check. Gloomy skies? Check. Still recovering from last night’s Penn State game? Also check.

Feeling a little MEH today? Sometimes the best cure for a gloomy day is to get out of the house, connect with other people, and do something creative!

We still have a few spots open for **TODAY’S Autumn-themed Watercolor Workshop at University W**e Company!** 🍁🎨

Come spend some time painting, laughing, and enjoying a little community. We can't change the weather or the football score, but we CAN make something beautiful out of a dreary Sunday! 💕

✨ **Last-minute registrations are welcome!**

Join me at University W**e Company for a relaxing afternoon of watercolor painting inspired by the beauty of autumn! October 11th 2:30pm-4:30pm
Celebrate the beauty of the season with watercolor! This class is inspired by Nature Shared, the University W**e Company’s October Artist-of-the-Month gallery featuring the nature-inspired artwork of Sarah Zappe and her mother, Barbara Rzasa. This relaxed workshop invites you to slow down, notice the details of autumn, and create your own interpretation of the natural world.

Sarah, owner of Kaleidoscope PA, will bring a collection of fall inspiration, including leaves, acorns, seedpods, mushrooms, and other seasonal treasures. Participants can choose what inspires them and create their own watercolor nature study. She’ll demonstrate approachable techniques for capturing autumn colors, shapes, and textures and share examples for inspiration, including this whimsical mushroom watercolor painted by her mother.

No watercolor experience is necessary. Come enjoy a glass of w**e, experiment with watercolor, and discover what catches your eye in nature. All materials are provided.

Register online at University W**e Company. Link in bio.

Oooh, just got these adorable watercolor swatching stamps for the Kaleidoscope PA shop! I never really enjoyed swatching paint colors, but when I saw these, I thought this could be a game changer for people like me! I love the idea of making something beautiful while I test the paint colors I own. Plus, Kristy Rice Joyful Watercolor for Beginners is a PA company! These will be in the Kaleidoscope PA shop…which will be open for workshop attendees on October 9…and a pop-up for the public on October 17! 🥰

✨ Our first classes in the new Kaleidoscope PA space!

We have two chances to take a block printing class in Kaleidoscope PA’s brand-new space at the Center for Well-Being in Lemont!

And the first one is extra special: if you join us on October 9, you’ll officially be among the very first people to see and create in our new space! 🥰

Both workshops will be taught by my fabulous friend Michael Monko of The Mossy Beetle, who will guide you through the process of designing, carving, and printing your own block.

✨ Two dates to choose from
✨ Beginner-friendly
✨ Small, cozy classes
✨ All about experimenting, making, and having fun

Space is limited, especially in our new little studio, so grab your spot early!

Come a little early to do some shopping and get first dibs on some of the creative reuse stuff I’ve been collecting to help support the start up of

I seriously cannot wait to welcome people through those doors for the first time. ❤️

Exciting things are happening! 🎨♻️

We’re in the process of securing a 2,000+ square-foot space in Lemont for a new creative reuse and community art space!

We have lots of big ideas—and we’re going to need the help and support of our community to bring them to life. 💛

Stay tuned for ways to get involved! In the meantime, give us a follow and tell us: Are you as excited about this as we are?! 🙌
