Placenta encapsulation when done properly is safe. If your care provider tells you otherwise please share with them this study. I have no doubt that if your provider tells you this it is because they are concerned. However, the truth is most providers have not researched encapsulation themselves and are not kept up to date on the latest research.

Placentophagy was not associated with any adverse neonatal outcomes according to research done by Oregon State University and UNLV.
