Earlier this year, I was dealing with significant knee pain and trying to figure out my options. I really didn’t want surgery or to be out of commission for a long time.

My wife came across Southern Delaware Vascular Institute and a different type of procedure they offer. We decided to schedule a visit and meet with Dr. Caldwell—and I’m so glad we did.

After my consultation and X-rays, I was scheduled for Genicular Artery Embolization (G*E) on my left knee. The procedure day was incredibly smooth—I arrived at 8:30 AM, was finished by noon, and even went out to lunch afterward.

The staff—Marsha, Raven, Brooke, Krista, and Candice—along with Dr. Caldwell, were outstanding. Everyone was caring, professional, and took the time to explain everything clearly.

The procedure itself was completely pain-free, and recovery was quick. In fact, by my follow-up visit, I had already decided to move forward with my right knee as well.

Now, a couple of months later, I’m still very happy with the results. My knees aren’t perfect, but they are so much better than before. I used to take arthritis-strength Tylenol every morning—now I rarely need anything, and if I do, it’s just one regular Tylenol.
