How grounded are you?
In my Craniosacral practice I notice that for most of my clients it's a challenge to get enough grounded. From my own experience I can see how this can be a difficult 'thing' to do - and yet, for me it now has become a routine, a state of BEING. 'Being' in my body and especially being aware of my feet, legs and the whole pelvis, my own ground in relationship to the Earth.
Why is it so important?
The body works better when we are grounded. We can process thoughts, feelings, stress ... much better. It comes along with more stability in life, feeling safe and secure. Not matter what happens on the outside. In our relationships with our children or partner we are more able to hold our ground.
Like a tree: its roots are firmly embedded in the soil of the earth and the storm blowing are not uprooting that tree.
On a physical level, grounding helps us to discharge our over-charge that stems from using our electronic devices, so to walk barefoot on the earth can be an invaluable simple practice to become more balanced and to have greater health.
