What a powerful evening spent with Kee Dunning, LCPC discussing the youth mental health crisis plaguing our state & nation! 🍿🎥✨

We were treated to an hour-long snippet of Ken Burns’ documentary “Hiding in Plain Sight” featuring Kee herself!

Communication is “Kee”!! Talk with your kids & check out the film streaming on PBS or Amazon Prime!

Many thanks for speaking to our youth, community members & spreading the word, Kee- you’re doing amazing things!!

And a big thank you to the Central Montana Jaycees for loaning us equipment & Fergus County Event Center for hosting us!

FREE SELF DEFENSE CLASS + DINNER FOR TEENS

Dinner this week is from L-Town Pizza!

Enrollment is open for our Teen Self-Defense Workshop, which will be hosted at the Lewistown Public Library this Wednesday. Class is limited to 10 participants, so register in advance to secure your spot.

Workshop begins at 6 p.m. with dinner to follow. This program is open to high-school-aged students (rising freshmen through recently-graduated seniors).

Central Montana Youth Challenge is honored to host these 3 Victim Impact Panelists who will be sharing their personal experiences with students at Fergus High School on Wednesday, April 17th.

Melissa, Mardi & Scott will present their unique stories of loss & the ripple effects caused by substance use. It is our hope that this will be an impactful experience for our youth that will encourage them to realize the power of their choices 🤍

Thanks to the CDC’s Drug Free Communities Funding we had a great week in Washington DC learning all about prevention at SAMHSA’s Prevention day, ’s National Leadership forum & Capitol Hill day!

While there, we got to attend many breakout sessions, talk with our Congressmen & graduate from the National Coalition Academy. Can’t wait to apply our knowledge to help support youth in Central MT make healthy choices! 🇺🇸
