Bobbie lives in Salisbury and commutes to Lexington because, she says, "this is the best place I've ever worked."

We talk often about how much patients rave about their experiences with us at Pinnacle, but we're just as proud that our staff also feels happy working here. They offer such exceptional care to everyone who walks through our doors, and it's wonderful knowing they enjoy being part of the Pinnacle care team.

Kim, a nurse who has been with us at Pinnacle for two years, says that being at work is a "home away from home," and that she's thankful for the connection she has with her fellow staff members. She says she they also all have "the best boss" in Dr. Matt Blanchard.

In fact, when you come to Pinnacle Urgent Care you'll see photos lining the walls -- in every patient room, in the hallway, etc. -- that document a stunning climb Dr. Blanchard has made. (Fun fact: He took all the photos himself, and they're from all over the world!)

What does laundry have to do with allergies?

Well, if you struggle with allergies, it can be one of the ways to minimize things like dust mites and pet dander are key to help reduce your allergy symptoms!

Here are a few other ways to do that:

-Use a vacuum with a HEPA filter, and use air purifiers in the home.

-Washing your sheets and pillowcases at least weekly in hot water helps reduce dust mites. When you think about the amount of time you spend in bed, this really matters.

-When possible, replace carpets with hardwood or tile to reduce the amount of spaces in the home where dust mites can gather.

-Use a dehumidifier to keep indoor humidity below 50%. This helps prevent mold growth – another huge allergy trigger for many.

Q: Will you share a bit about your approach to care/medicine at Pinnacle?

A: As both my wife and I are from small towns in Louisiana, it’s important to us that we run our clinic with that small town, rural, family feel. We impress upon all our staff that the minimum standard is to treat all patients like family. I find that by listening intently to their answers as they give me their history and doing a complete and thorough exam, most diagnoses can be made.

Our approach at Pinnacle is to do a comprehensive analysis of each problem, leaving no stone unturned in our diagnostic approach and workup. This helps ensure we don’t miss anything.
