Our annual CPR/AED training is underway across all STAR Physical Therapy clinics! ❤️

These photos are from yesterday's training session in Springfield, where our team sharpened and practiced the lifesaving skills needed to respond when every second counts.

While we hope these skills are never needed, staying prepared is essential to providing exceptional care to our patients and communities.

Yesterday, we wrapped up our regional new grad mentorship!

We had five STAR Physical Therapy clinicians join us, along with three physical therapy students, one from Belmont University and two from South College, as we covered the hip and SI joint.

Our New Grad Mentorship Program is a yearlong program designed to support clinicians as they transition into practice through a combination of one-on-one mentoring and collaborative group learning with colleagues across their region.

We're committed to supporting the next generation of physical therapists by offering students opportunities to participate in regional mentorship sessions and attend residency courses throughout the year.

Investing in mentorship and continuing education helps us build stronger clinicians and deliver exceptional care to our patients!

⭐️ Recognizing Miranda’s 20 Years of Service ⭐️

Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating an incredible milestone for Miranda Cole, PTA, reaching 20 years with STAR Physical Therapy!

Over the past two decades, Miranda has faithfully served her patients, coworkers, and communities with compassion, excellence, and a genuine servant’s heart. Her impact extends far beyond the walls of our clinics, touching the lives of countless individuals across West Tennessee!

As part of the celebration, our team enjoyed a special meal prepared by Ross Maldonado, PT, Partner, while reflecting on Miranda’s years of service! We were also honored to have Marty Blair, Partner, join us for the occasion as we recognized and celebrated this remarkable achievement.

In her own words, Miranda shared that her profession became “a calling filled with purpose, compassion, and meaningful connections.” Anyone who knows Miranda can attest that those words perfectly describe the way she approaches both her work and the people she serves.

Miranda exemplifies everything STAR stands for. She is a trusted clinician, a valued teammate, a mentor to many, and a shining example of our mission to Serve.

Bud McGiboney and Dan Headrick recently had the opportunity to work with the linemen at Caney Fork Electric Cooperative, Inc. to complete a Job Demands Analysis.

Many of us take having power at the flip of a switch for granted, but behind that everyday convenience are hardworking linemen. From responding to outage calls to 24-hour emergency shifts and working in extreme weather conditions, they show up every day ready to serve others and play a vital role in keeping our communities powered.

At STAR Physical Therapy, we are honored to partner with them and support their health and well-being so they can continue doing the essential work our communities depend on.

🎉 Congratulations to our Physical Therapy student, Austin Heath on passing his boards! 🎉

Austin has been with our Lexington clinic since January, and we have truly enjoyed having him as part of our team during his clinical rotation.

He is currently attending South College School of Physical Therapy and will graduate this June. Following graduation, Austin and his future wife will be moving to the Memphis area as she continues her education in optometry school. They are also preparing for an exciting wedding this July!

We are incredibly proud of Austin and all he has accomplished. His compassion, professionalism, and dedication to patient care make him an outstanding future physical therapist, and we are thankful he chose to spend part of his journey with STAR!
