Long post warning:

I began my journey in the hair industry over 6 years ago. I instantly fell in love with the opportunity to give others a high level of confidence by giving them their dream hair. I was able to give them confidence and a sense of beauty that I have lacked in myself my entire life. I have been with Planet Salon & Spa for over 5 years now. In that 5 years, I have gained a wealth of hair knowledge, an abundance of people skills, and loads of patience. Every client who has ever sat in my chair has been shown respect & treated with dignity, even in the worst times of their lives. I have never & will never do hair just for the money. My goal is to make each person realize their worth. I try my best to help each person escape reality while they’re here & unwind.
With that being said, yesterday was one of the worst days of my career. I feel that it is only fair & appropriate to tell the whole story, instead of what is posted on Google reviews. This person has been to our salon maybe 4 times now. Another service provider saw her two times for a Brazilian blowout & she expressed that she was unhappy. She was then given to me to “fix” her hair. After some digging, I discovered that the first provider didn’t do anything wrong. This person was lying about her previous chemical services. Despite her lies, we tried one more time to make her happy. This attempt helped and she was satisfied. She ended up with almost $900 in services for $275. That’s basically theft.
Fast forward to yesterday, she booked for a highlight. I was excited to continue helping her, even though I knew she had a past with us with unfair reviews. We began with a consultation where we looked at a few pictures of balayage & decided what our plan was. She signed a consultation form that described the service & we agreed on a price. After the highlights processed 20 minutes, I went out to check on the progress. She immediately began telling me that this didn’t look right, that there was too much of her natural root showing & that she wanted highlights all the way to the scalp all over. This isn’t what we agreed to. She talked down to me, tried to make me less confident in my abilities & yelled at me in front of the other service providers & their clients. This is completely unacceptable. We exchanged some spicy conversation & she was informed at the end of the appointment that she’s no longer welcome in my chair.
Point of this story: she is a chronic complainer who belittles service providers hoping for a free service. I did not and will not back down from her. This review is totally unnecessary and I was NOT rude with her until she began yelling and me and disrespecting me.
So, let me make this clear. I love taking care of clients, it’s truly a work of heart. But do not come in here and expect for me to be talked down to and degraded for absolutely no reason, and then expect for me to allow it. I am a human. No one deserves what she is trying to do to me. I am attaching her review, along with her before and after photo.

Although this isn’t her goal, we made a lot of progress today. This client has colored her hair at home for a while and we’re now working on going blonde. Low and slow is the best approach to maintain the integrity of her hair. Stay tuned for our next session!
