After 18 years of love, community, healing, and service, I am excited to share that I have transferred ownership of Serenity on the Square.
When I opened Serenity 18 years ago, it came from a very personal place. I wanted to share with others the practices and tools that had helped me move through my own fears, anxieties, weaknesses, and health challenges. I knew how much they had changed my life, and I hoped to create a place where others could discover what might help change theirs.
What began as that simple desire grew into something far greater than I could have imagined.
Serenity became a community.
Over the years, we have had the privilege of serving alongside our schools, the City of Liberty, local organizations and businesses, and so many wonderful people who have walked through our doors. Friendships have been formed, lives have intersected, people have grown, healed, laughed, cried, moved, breathed, rested, and discovered new parts of themselves.
And none of it would have been possible without the incredible practitioners and teachers who have made Serenity what it is. They are truly some of the most talented, compassionate, generous people I have ever had the privilege of working beside. Together, we created a sanctuary centered around wellness, joy, connection, and community.
As Serenity turned 18, I began to feel a shift within myself.
With my son living in Arizona, my daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren growing and changing so quickly, and my husband just a few years away from retirement, I began to realize how precious time really is.
I am not finished sharing my gifts. Far from it. I still have so much I want to teach, create, experience, and offer others in their own wellness journeys. But I also realized that owning and operating the business required time and energy that I was ready to give back to myself and my family.
And then the right person appeared.
I am so happy to share that Serenity on the Square is now under the ownership of Michelle Blackton, owner of Water Street Ceramics.
Michelle brings creativity, fresh ideas, energy, and most importantly, a genuine belief in what Serenity is and what it can become. She understands the heart of this special place while also having a vision for its future. I could not be more excited to watch her take Serenity into its next chapterâfor the people who have loved it for years and for a whole new generation who will discover it.
The beautiful part is that Serenity is not ending. It is evolving.
Our professional team of practitioners and teachers will continue offering their gifts, services, classes, and experiences at Serenity.
And so will I.
Instead of being the owner, I will now have the opportunity to simply do more of what I love. I will continue at Serenity as an independent practitioner, offering Reiki, yoga, special events, and my twice-monthly Reiki-infused sound baths, along with new experiences as inspiration leads me.
Eighteen years ago, I gave birth to an idea.
Today, I get to watch it grow beyond me.
To every person who has walked through our doors, taken a class, booked an appointment, attended an event, taught, practiced, worked, collaborated, supported, laughed, healed, or simply believed in Serenityâthank you.
You are part of its story.
I am incredibly proud of what we created together, deeply grateful for these 18 years, and genuinely excited about what comes next.
Serenity on the Square has always been about transformation.
And now, Serenityâand Iâare simply experiencing our own.
With love and gratitude,
Patti Stark
