Other physicians are learning knee embolization by watching Dr. Ahmed do it.

Medical Wysdom is a teaching platform where interventional radiologists post short videos of real procedures so other doctors and trainees can study the technique. This week they featured Dr. Ahmed walking through genicular artery embolization, step by step.

Here is the part we love. The platform was founded by the Stanford physician Dr. Ahmed once worked under, and its whole idea is "see one, do one, teach one." He is the one teaching now.

What the procedure means if you are the one with the knee pain: G*E treats osteoarthritis pain by reducing blood flow to the inflamed lining of the joint, which drives much of the ache and swelling. No incision. No general anesthesia in most cases. Most patients go home the same day.
