Growing up, Dolly Parton’s music was one of the soundtracks of my childhood. Her storytelling connected me deeply to my own cousins and country roots, my Family & Family of the Heart, and a strong belief in God, teaching me the value of authenticity, hard work, and humility. She became one of my ultimate icons—not just for her glittering talent, but for the fierce, faithful woman she will continue to be.
Seeing her live in concert was pure magic, witnessing an irreplaceable legend command the stage. I was Blessed to be able to see her in The Burgh a few times, to be able take this Capture of her truly stands on its own.
And my admiration grew even deeper seeing how her heart reached my hometown. From funding childhood literacy in Pittsburgh to her sister-park connection with Kennywood Park, Dolly proved that a global icon can still care about local communities. She helped to shape who I am, showing me how to dream big while staying completely true to your faith, your family, and where you come from. There will always only be one Dolly. How has Dolly touched your heart? Blessings, Jan ✨
