Yesterday was one of those days that reminded us why tattooing is so much more than putting ink on skin.
We had the honor of welcoming Patrick O’Brien to Unicorn Ink. Patrick lives with ALS and traveled all the way from Boston to make one dream come true: getting his DJ name, “TransFatty,” tattooed across his chest!
This wasn’t just a tattoo appointment, it was the result of an incredible team effort. The amazing offered her time and talent by tattooing Patrick at our facility while Doug and his documentary crew captured every moment of this journey. Seeing everyone come together to make this happen was truly inspiring.
We also want to recognize the Leonard Florence Center for Living in Boston, whose support made this experience possible. Very few facilities would go to these lengths to help someone living with ALS leave for an experience like this, and we’re super honored they trusted us to be part of Patrick’s story.
At Unicorn Ink, we believe tattoos can represent strength, identity, memories, and hope. Yesterday wasn’t about the tattoo itself, it was about proving that no matter the obstacles, meaningful experiences are still possible when people come together with kindness and determination!
