Person-centered care is a philosophical approach to nursing home care that honors and respects the voice of elders and those working closest with them.

It involves a continuing process of listening, trying new things, seeing how they work, and changing things in an effort to individualize care. Jane de Chantal personnel embrace the philosophy of person-centered care. We value all persons and acknowledge that each person has strengths, abilities, gifts, and contributions to offer. Jane de Chantal ranks high on government rating system

St. Jane de Chantal received a five star rank on the 2013 Five-Star Quality Rating System. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services created the rating system to help consumers, their families and caregivers compare nursing homes more easily. The quality rating system gives each nursing home a rating between one and five stars. Nursing homes with five stars are considered to be far above average quality, while the quality for one star ranking is considered far below average. Jane de Chantal is the only nursing home in Nebraska that is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). Jane de Chantal is accredited as a Person-Centered Long-Term Care Community under the Aging Services Program. CARF’s aging services standards reflect leadership in the field internationally to help nursing homes attain excellence in a rapidly changing environment for elder care. Jane de Chantal achieved the highest level of accreditation, which is three year accreditation status.
