Nebraska’s Olmstead Plan is a roadmap for building a stronger state where people with disabilities can live, learn, work, and participate fully in their communities. Nebraska’s Olmstead Vision is: “People with disabilities are living, learning, working, and enjoying life in the most integrated setting.”

On September 18, the HHS Committee and Urban Affairs Committee of the Nebraska Legislature will hold a joint hearing to evaluate progress on the Olmstead Plan, as required by LB 737.
Date: 9/18

Time: 9:00 AM
Location: State Capitol, Room 1023 Format: Invited testimony only

Community Survey

As co-chair of the Olmstead Committee, I worked with Brad Meurrens of Disability Rights Nebraska to create a survey for people with disabilities, family members, guardians, friends, and allies. Your feedback will help the Olmstead Committee and legislators understand how well Nebraska is doing in creating inclusive communities.

Please complete only the sections of the survey that are relevant to you.

Complete the survey here: https://forms.gle/1joB2wLwYJ52YzZ88

How the Survey Results Will Be Used

Survey results will be shared with members of the HHS Committee and Urban Affairs Committee to inform their review of Nebraska’s progress on the Olmstead Plan.

Please Share and Attend

I encourage everyone who is able to attend the hearing to show support for the Olmstead Plan and help make this vision a reality. Please share this information with your network.

Making this the most successful tournament we’ve had in the four years we’ve been doing it. That accomplishment wouldn’t be possible without all of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who came out and supported us.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make this year’s outing such a success. Here’s to continuing to grow it and make an even bigger impact next year!

Till 2027 golfers! ⛳️🏆🏆🏆

Recently, a group of UBTers headed to the Sandhills Global Youth Complex to help out with one of the Field Days hosted in partnership with the Autism Family Network. This weekly Tuesday event is a free, inclusive recreation program that gets participants outdoors and active. Field Days offer a wide variety of games, activities, and a whole lot of fun. Our team had a blast!
