Today is my birthday and what a great time to do a Solar Return chart! Solar Return charts paint a picture of how your year will be based on the exact moment of your birth but in the current year. Get it; Solar Return? The Sun returns to the same spot it was in at the time you were born??

Did you know that WHERE you physically are at the moment of your Solar Return matters when casting Solar Return charts?

First I look at your Solar Return (SR) Rising Sign. That will color your approach to your environment for the year. It describes your overall temperament and attitude during the year. For my 42nd year, my Rising Sign is in Ta**us. This tells me that I will likely remain more careful, thought out, and planned, inhabiting the useful mantra of "look before you leap."

The house position of the Sun in the SR chart shows which area of life you want to shine. You will take pride in this part of your life, and you'll have the opportunity to rejuvenate this area. My Cancer Sun is in the 3rd house for my 42nd year. This tells me the emphasis is on mental pursuits. I'll be focusing on nurturing connections and expressing myself through communication and daily interactions.

The position of the Moon will show you were your heart is. This is the area of life that you have the biggest emotional investment in. For my 42nd year, the Moon is in Ta**us in the 1st house. This tells me I'll have a greater than average need for security and establishing roots this year. My emotions tend to be on my sleeve more than usual.

How did I come up with the name Iron Star?
It comes from my own birth chart. My 10th house of purpose and vocation is in Scorpio. The planets Saturn and Mars are located in my 10th house. Saturn is one of my ruling planets so it is significant for me. Here, it represents structure, discipline, and the wisdom that comes from doing the work. Mars is in its home sign of Scorpio and here it has penetrating drive, transformative energy, and the courage to go deep. I chose "iron" to represent my Saturn placement and "star" to represent my Mars placement. This isn't accidental symbolism, it's the foundation of how I work.

14 years ago this page was called Eclectic Array. I was selling handmade crafts and figuring out who I was as a creator.

5 years ago it became Transcend with Eclectic Array. I was going deeper — astrology, tarot, holistic living — following what genuinely lit me up even when I didn't know where it was leading.

All along the way, I got married, became a mother, went through a divorce, and experienced career shifts. I felt completely lost in myself, disconnected from who I was and uncertain of who I was becoming. Astrology is one of the tools that helped me find my way back. It showed me my own patterns, my own strengths, my own path forward.

That experience became a calling.

Today I'm launching Iron Star Life Coaching — astrology-informed life coaching for parents and seekers navigating identity shifts, transitions, and the quiet question of "who am I now?"

The name Iron Star has personal meaning to me. In my birth chart, Saturn and Mars sit together in Scorpio in my 10th house – the house of vocation and public purpose. Saturn rules structure and discipline, what I think of as the iron. Mars rules action and drive, the star energy that keeps you moving. Iron Star is what happens when those two forces work together. Grounded ambition; purposeful momentum.
