We’ll be at the Juneteenth Festival of Lincoln tomorrow! Celebrate this historic day with us and check out all the festivities organized by The Hunt for Foundation. We hope to see you there!

The countdown is on⏳🎉

The Hunt For Foundation’s Juneteenth Committee has curated an unforgettable, family-friendly experience filled with culture, community, education, and FUN for everyone!

We’ve expanded our Kids Corner (ages 5 and under) and added even more yard games and activities for the entire family to enjoy.

We’re also excited for the additional art activities provided by First Presbyterian Church of Lincoln, Illinois and Lincoln Arts Institute giving our Juneteenth Festival of Lincoln, IL attendees even more opportunities to create and express themselves.

And of course, our popular History Walk is returning! Take your time engaging in the journey through Black history, achievement, resilience, and freedom. ✊🏾

We are calling for you to bring your family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, and classmates. This celebration is for us all! The abolition of slavery is a reason to celebrate, and we’re coming together to honor our freedom, culture, and community.

It’s almost time to party!
❤️💛💚🖤

Turn down the volume and turn up the conversation. Talk with your teen about not using alcohol underage. Don’t forget to listen, too.

In honor of Community Health Improvement Week—a time to celebrate partnerships that improve the health and well-being of our communities—we had a great time helping out at Lincoln Community Garden Project this morning! 🌱

Our team spent the morning weeding around the raised beds, helping keep this wonderful space beautiful and accessible for everyone. 💚

Thank you to the LMH Community Health Collaborative and the volunteers from Memorial who came to volunteer on this very hot day! We’re so thankful for their effort in clearing an overgrown area and weeding!

😎☀️ Lunches Start TODAY!

Our community education partner, Lincoln Elementary School District #27, is once again providing free meals to children this summer. All children 18 and under are invited to participate. No registration is required.

From June 1 to June 29, the program will distribute free to-go lunches to children 18 and under on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. A hot meal will be provided on each of these days, along with a second lunch for the following day. Meals will be available for pickup (drive-through) from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Central Elementary School and Northwest Elementary School. Adult meals may be purchased for $3.00.

‼️ New this year: From June 1 through June 26, breakfast will be distributed at Lincoln Junior High School from 7:45–8:15 AM.

ISBE encourages children to be present at pickup. Parents must give permission for another adult to pick up a meal for their child. If someone other than the parent or child will be picking up a meal, please complete this form: https://forms.gle/GL9aeEzYKtuhqHvp8
