Kitchen Remodel Reveal + Appreciation Post 💛
A project like this doesn’t happen without an incredible team.
There were so many people who helped bring our vision to life, especially our contractor, who worked tirelessly to solve problems, bring the right expertise to every challenge, and somehow turned all of my crazy ideas into reality. When your kitchen is also your office, content studio, and gathering place, you have to think about every detail a little differently.
So much gratitude to everyone who helped make this happen:
✨ Contractor: Tru-Built Construction (Thank you, Dana!)
✨ Design: L O I Design Group
✨ Cabinets: CKF
✨ Tile: Rainwood Interiors
✨ Appliances: Schaefer's Samsung US
And yes…I’ll be sharing much more about the appliances soon! 😉
Hello, beautiful. 💛
We wanted the kitchen to feel calm and timeless, so we chose a neutral Scandinavian inspired palette. It gives me the flexibility to add color through decor, fresh flowers, cookware, and, of course, the food.
As a media dietitian and chef, having multiple camera angles was a must. That’s also why I chose two different induction cooktops, each with a specific purpose. More on that soon!
The view out back is beautiful, but I also love the view from this window.
The island isn’t just for teaching or media work. It’s about gathering people together. At the core of being a chef is hospitality and creating a space where people feel welcome, where conversations happen, and memories are made. I wanted this island to be the heart of our home.
That tile work though…wow, Rainwood Interiors. 💛
We wanted a separate space for coffee and drinks that could also be used to store dishes, serve snacks, and make entertaining easier. It also works beautifully for media projects, giving me another backdrop near the dining table.
And once again, Rainwood Interiors killed it with the tile selection and orientation design.
This side of the kitchen is the main cooking space, with the larger induction cooktop, smart hood, and ovens all within easy reach. It makes everyday cooking more efficient while giving me plenty of room for recipe testing, entertaining, and media
