I absolutely loveee using crystals to complement my healing! Here are some of my favs:

Bumblebee Jasper: This one is legit sunshine in crystal form! It's my go-to when I need a confidence boost or when my creative juices feel stuck. This one is also great to pair with your solar plexus.

Ruby Zoisite: This stunning green and pink crystal is pure magic. It ignites your passion and fills you with positive, heart-centered energy. It's like a little cheerleader for your soul. This one is great for your heart chakra.

Red Jasper: This deep red beauty is all about grounding energy and keeping you rooted. It brings stability and strength when life feels chaotic; it's like a warm hug from the earth herself. Perfect for those looking for support with their root chakra.

Sodalite: This one is my go-to when my brain feels scattered. It's all about enhancing intuition and bringing that mental clarity we all desperately need. Perfect for your third eye chakra.

Celestine: This one is sooo pretty to look at and is a direct line to your angels. It will bring the most peaceful, calming energy, perfect for when you need to quiet your mind and connect to something higher. This one is great for your crown chakra!

Tell me in the comments what are some of your fav crystals?

How to find peace in the storm....What does that even mean? In this analogy, the storm in the chaos you may find in life, and to find peace, you must focus on the present, regulate your nervous system, and develop inner resilience.

For anchoring yourself in the present, I love the 5-4-3-2-1 method. I use it often in my daily life, and it's a quick exercise you can do to just come back. I've talked about this method more in depth in other posts if you're interested in learning more. I also love a good breathwork exercise. Theres honestly so many methods you can use here its just about trying different things and finding what works best for you.

Regulating your nervous system can be the tricky one in my opinion. When it comes to this I like to look for extra support. Reiki is a fan favorite for sure, but I also love acupuncture and natropathic medicine to better support my body. Its important when working with any of these modalities you seek a qualified professional to help guide you though the storm. Think of them like a lighthouse.

Building resiliance isn't about avoiding stress, its about teaching your mind, body, and spirit how to navigate it. Practices like yoga and aromatherapy can help regulate the body and relieve tension. Journaling or free writing can help you process emotions and maintain mental balance. Building social support and engaging in nature-based healing can help wth your spirit.

How do you find peace in the storm?

Who else has been stuck in the bad gut health club for longer than they'd like to admit? The tips I shared in the post are basic lifestyle changes that are needed to support your gut health, but what if you're already doing (or trying to do) these things and you need more support?

Of course, what you eat and drink is important, but have you stopped to think about how you are eating? Do you often eat on the go, in a time crunch, and stressed out? The gut brain connection is more important here then most people realize, which is why its important to slow down when eating. I try to eat at least one meal a day with zero distractions. That means no scrolling on my phone, and nothing playing in the background. I like to take a couple deep breaths before I start eating, these small changes signal to your body "food is coming, switch into digestion mode". I probably struggle with this the most but chewing your food thoroughly. Chewing food slowly and completely helps make digesting easier andddd once again it switches you into digestion mode.

Still need extra support? Thats OKAY, trust me I've been there. Personally I loved a combo of acupuncture and Reiki to help further support my gut health. Acupuncture helps by enhancing the gut-brain axis, regulating gut motility, reducing inflammation, and balancing the microbiome. Reiki helps by reducing stress, and balancing chakras such as your solar plexus which directly corresponds with digestion. There are also supplements you can, and lowkey should be taking. I firmly believe most people would benefit from a fiber supplement (be careful with this one, though, if you aren't hydrating enough, it can actually back you up).

Additional favs of mine that I swear by..... Pelvic floor physical therapy: Many of us haven't actually been taught how to properly coordinate the abdominal muscles, diaphragm, and pelvic floor, which are all critical to the process of elimination. Lastly, I love a good tummy rub. I personally use the ILU method. This relieves gas and bloating and manually guides stool through the large intestine.

Theres honestly so many things you can do to support your gut health, what are some of your favorites?

I feel like most people are familiar with the term "burnout" but what actually is it? Burnout is chronic physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion caused by prolonged unmanaged stress. How can you beat burnout?

The very first step is recognizing you have burnout and are willinging to make a change. If you're reading this, then congratulations, you can mark step one as complete.

Boundaries!!! These need to be set and aggresively. Start saying NO to any non-essential commitments that will ultimately overload your plate.

Recovery. Start prioritizing your sleep aim to get 7-9 hours of quality sleep every night. That might mean you need to start a sleep routine. Try to move a little daily, even just a short walk outside, this will help lower your stress hormones and clear your mind.

Get help. Reaching out to a professional can make a huge difference. A qualified herbalist, for example, can get you on supplements to help with adrenal support. An acupuncturist can help by shifting your body out of fight or flight. Reiki can give you a much needed pause to rest.

Have you or are you struggling with burnout? What has helped you?

Do you struggle with speaking your truth? Maybe the opposite... maybe you share too much. Maybe you struggle with overreacting or lying? These are all signs of a throat chakra blockage. Here are some of my favorite exercises that can be paired with Reiki for lasting healing.

Singing or humming of any kind. This creates physical vibrations that break up energetic blockages. Vocalizing and clearing these energetic blockages helps open the way for authentic expression.

Journal and speak your truth. Writing down your feelings and speaking them aloud can release blockages. It can help you confront subconscious blocks by providing a safe emotional release and creating a bridge to your unconscious mind.

Chanting. Using mantras or sounds like "HAM" rewire the brain by stimulating the vagus nerve making this option especially good for anxiety, depression, negative thinking, and/or lack of purpose. Some of my favorite affirmations to chant are "I have a right to share my truth" "I express myself freely" "I communicate with love"

Neck rolls and stretches. This works by releasing physical tension, which helps release emotional blockages you have stored in your neck and shoulders. When you do this with awareness, it helps you to build a heart-mind connection, which will in turn help you speak your truth.

Which of these will you try?

Mantras help keep you grounded by redirecting your attention out of negative thought patterns. The chanting soothes the nervous system, leading to decreased heart rate, blood pressure, and anxiety. Some mantras I love for helping me say grounded include:

"I am safe and secure."
"I am calm and clear"
"Anxiety does not define who I am"
"I am ready to let go"
"I am strong"
"I am grounded"

What are your go-to Mantras?

Stuck in a negative mindset? Honestly....I think we've all been there. Humans are biologically designed to look for the negative, it's a survival technique...but not the best for happiness. That means its easier to be ina negative mindset and it takes effort to shfit into a positive mindset. Here are some exercises I like to becoming more positive.

Reframe negative thoughts. First start by identifying negative thoughts, just notice what comes up. Then ask yourself...is this thought rooted in facts or feeling? Now you can work on reframing your thought so its more evidence based. You want to go from "I can't do anything right" to "It's okay, I made a mistake, I am still learning and will grow from this experience." This works by rewiring neuro pathways and reducing stress hormones.

Gratitude Journaling. Honestly journaling can be hard for me...I often start and then forget, so these are my tips to simplify things for my forgetful girlies. Pick a journal you like the visual look of, (this will get you excited) Place the journal in a visible place you are most likely to use it. For me it goes next to the bed, because I journal best when I wake up in the mornings. Start slow, pick one thing to journal about and make sure you are specific and descriptive focusing on the "why" you are grateful. This works by boosting feel-good neurotransmitters like serotonin and dopamine.

This one might feel like a no-brainer, but can't actually be the most difficult. Surround yourself with positive people and cut toxic environments out of your life. Positivity is contagious, and being surrounded by it causes it to almost "rub off" on you. You also make yourself more resilient to negative and toxic environments by choosing positivity.

Let me know in the comments what exercises you will try?

The best tool you have for feeling better is knowledge. When you understand what is happening to you, why, and how you can fix it, this is where true healing can begin. This doesn't mean you are expected to fix anything alone; life isn't meant to be a journey taken alone. It simply gives you a starting place, an idea of the kinds of people you may need to connect with, and the resources you need. If you're ever in need of deeper healing, sessions are available through the link in my bio. This is where lasting healing begins.
