Corinthians 10:31
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”

This verse emphasizes that ALL actions, including eating and drinking, should glorify God.

Brittany Hallman is doing just that! She is exercising and eating healthy WHILE being a busy wife, mom and nurse. No excuses in her vocabulary!!!!! Sometimes, as Christians we focus on the soul to the detriment of the body; we are adamant about stewarding our time in prayer and Scripture and stewarding our finances by setting aside a portion for God’s mission and His church, but we rarely think of stewarding our physical body in the same way.
In Scripture, Solomon speaks about the benefits that come with the decision of doing hard things (Prov. 14:23, Eccl. 5:18-20), and this is even applies to our biological makeup. There have been numerous studies done that reveal one simple reality: Intentionally choosing to do hard things is good for your brain. When there is physical stimuli evoked, the benefit is even greater.
Christians need to be doing hard things, and one of those things is exercise. Exercise is more than physiologically, neurologically, and physically beneficial.
Exercise will promote proper ordering of one’s spiritual life
For that first month of committed exercising, you feel like an imposter, and everything in your body is telling you to stop. However, your mind knows that this is good for you. You are determined to keep going. Eventually, your body adjusts, and you begin to enjoy your training, endorphin rush and all. What was once a hard decision becomes easy.
Doing hard things in exercise can promote right ordering in our lives and ease our opportunities to further establish our faith in God. Life isn’t easy most days, but without the daily strengthening of ALL parts of our being, it will just get worse! Choose your path today- GOD’S WAY!!

WILL WORK FOR OUR GOOD AND HIS GLORY! He has definitely provided Tammy Hallman with the perseverance and determination to get stronger and physically healthier in her mind and body! We give HIM all the praise!

Why should we do the work required to develop a strong physical body, especially as we get older? The general benefits of physical activity are well-known. Moving your body regularly improves brain function and mental health, keeps your heart and lungs healthy, improves sleep and is critical for weight management.

However, progressive strength training has other health benefits that are extremely critical for older adults. According to the National Institute on Aging, many older adults have trouble with everyday mobility, including walking, climbing stairs and getting to a standing position.
When mobility is compromised, the risk for falls and fractures increases. This is usually caused by age-related loss of bone density and muscle strength. That's where resistance training comes in.

So, don’t neglect the blessing of your physical body. God can use you in wonderful ways for great things in order to add to His kingdom!
