David lee is finally in remission after 10 months of his medical journey. At this time I just want to thank everybody that has help us along the way through this journey. For everybody that prayed for David lee and our family thank you.

Update on David lee, yesterday he had just an mri of the brain to and today was his 3 month checkup. David lee has completed his clinical study for the medicine he took for 24 weeks and he glad that over with it. Today at his doctor appointment we learned that from his mri he did yesterday there still a little nudge wrapped around his nervous system. The radiation treatments he did like the doctor said doesn't work over night but the treatments is still working and we are hoping that the nudge will disappear over time. The left side is still the weak side for him and over time that will improve, but it takes time and work for that. Like his neurologist surgeon said it could take 2 years before he back to normal, it's not something that could happen overnight. Since December 9th when he was diagnosed with the brain tumor to now I have seen a major improvement in him. David lee tumor was an ependymoma and with that being said his tumor is a recurring tumor so we don't want to let our guards down just yet because in this case the tumor could come back in months or it could take years to come back we don't have the answer for that one, we just take it day by day and see what happens. We also met with the ent doctor last month on his pallet as of then they didn't want to do surgery yet, the doctor wants to wait and check him in 6 months and we will know then if he has to have surgery on his pallet. Again thank you to everybody that has prayed for David lee and our family while he has to go through this medical journey, we greatly appreciate it and it's not just the people from Lindsay Oklahoma, it has been across the whole state of Oklahoma and even people across the United States that has prayed for David lee. It's really amazing what people will do for a child that has to go through something like this. To me this has been a life lesson for sure over the last 7 months.

Update on David lee he only has 12 more radiation treatments to do and if they don't add anymore treatments on him due to the machine being down for almost a week we should be finish on March 27th. Today David lee had an appointment at the Dean Mcgee eye Institute and his left eye is still the weaker side but his vision is good and he doesn't have to have glasses and will have to come back in 6 months for his next appointment.

Update on David lee. Today will be treatment number 16 and he will be doing the proton therapy for 30 minutes since the machine is up and going. The doctors had another meeting as long as the proton machine is running he will be on that machine, but if the machine is not working on one of his treatment days he will do the x-ray radiation for that day. So we shall see how all this goes from here on out, but at least we are finally past the half way mark on his treatments, so far now if everything goes as plan his last treatment day should be March 27th and we will finally get to come home. Even after we come home he will still have his speech therapy, start back to physical therapy and the numerous doctor visit he will have for the next five years. David lee is also still on the clinical study to help with his long and short term memory. March 9th will be three month since David lee started this medical journey and I have seen the different in him from good to bad time during this journey and I will say for an 11 year old boy to have to be going through this it can sure show you a new outlook on life. So again thank you all for the prayers they are greatly appreciate.
