Do you know the difference between Normal Saline and Lactated Ringer’s?

And more importantly… did you know ReGen IV Therapy offers both?

Both are commonly used IV fluids for hydration, but they aren’t exactly the same.

Normal saline, also known as 0.9% sodium chloride, contains sodium and chloride in sterile water. It’s commonly used to help restore fluids and support hydration.

Lactated ringer's contains a combination of electrolytes, including sodium, chloride, potassium and calcium, along with lactate. Its electrolyte makeup is designed to more closely resemble the body’s natural fluid composition.

So, what’s the difference? The right IV fluid can depend on your individual needs, medical history, medications, and hydration goals. That’s why hydration isn’t necessarily a one-size-fits-all approach.

At ReGen IV Therapy, we offer both normal saline and lactated ringer’s because we believe you should have options — and understand what’s going into your IV and why.
