Hello Connecticut! I am only teaching ONE monthly grief yoga class in September and that will be on Wednesday, September 16, Middlesex Health, in Middletown.

BUT I will begin teaching a monthly Grief Yoga class at Harold Leever Reg Cancer Center in Waterbury starting with a FREE 75-minute Community Class on Monday, October 19, at 5:30 p.m. Mark your calendar!

These trees hold deep, quiet weight. However, they are supported in community by their roots. Our bodies hold the weight as well. But we, too, can be supported by community.

"Together, we witness our grief." This isn't just a tagline for me; it is the core of this practice. Grief often isolates us. It tells us our pain is too big or too messy for others to see and to understand.

But what if you didn’t have to carry it alone?

In Grief Yoga, we don't try to explain the pain. We don't try to cure it. We simply become aware of it, move with it, allowing the natural world and our collective energy to offer a softer place to rest.

Whether you are grieving a person, a pet, a recent illness, or a major life change, there is a space here for you.

You are not alone. 🙏

I had the honor of leading the Mindfulness session at last week's Middlesex Health Women's Wellness Fund Health Talk. It was such a beautiful evening. How could I NOT take advantage of the beautiful grounds of Saint Clement's Castle and have us take off our shoes and feel the warm earth under our feet?! I invited the group to remove the labels on all they saw, and to truly connect with the moment. See and feel the magic. Be present. Be still. Breathe.

Guess what. I am subbing on Saturday, July 25, and received permission to sub with Grief Yoga! So, if you have been interested but not sure about it, here is your chance. This class will give a brief background, and then we will have an abbreviated Grief Yoga practice.
