Whenever I leave my class Lititz Public Library my heart feels full.
I've been leading this class for years now, and the magic never goes away.
This class is often made up of a menagerie of wonderful humans. All ages, all abilities, all sizes, all backgrounds. Some people practice on the mat, some practice in chairs.
*This* is what I teach for. This is what I love.
For the ones who've been left out. The misunderstood. The underestimated and underrepresented.
I am so grateful that I get to hold space for these amazing humans week after week.
Thank you, all of you, for allowing me to be a part of your journey ♥️

Friends and Neighbors

As you know Lancaster County experienced damaging storms last week. Lancaster County Chooses Love is experiencing and anticipating a larger than average need for resources through their Food Pantry.
They are asking for emergency donations.

To ensure that families in our community continue to have access to nutritious food, we are asking for your support.
Needs:
Shelf-stable fruits and vegetables
Shelf stable protein options (peanut butter, canned tuna, etc.)
Other nutritious shelf-stable pantry items
Financial donations

Shelf-stable fruits and vegetables help us provide healthy alternatives when fresh produce is unavailable. And, financial contributions allow us to increase our food orders through the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank, helping offset both reduced food rescue donations and delays in grant funding.
Every donation, no matter the size, helps us continue serving our neighbors during this period of uncertainty.

Please drop off your items at our location, or visit the LCCL website for emergency donation drop off times.

Thank you for your support.

Love always wins.

Get Repost App • Blair Imani Ali • Smarter in Seconds Let’s get Smarter in Seconds about Juneteenth!

For more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed on January 1, 1863, at least 250,000 people remained enslaved in Texas until U.S. troops arrived in Galveston on June 19, 1865.

Juneteenth is not the day that chattel enslavement ended in the United States but it’s a deeply important part of our collective history and African American people’s ongoing struggle for freedom.

I hope you’ll join me and the Grandmother of Juneteenth, Opal Lee, in sharing the truth and the spirit of this holiday.
