Senior Care Society is a community website that provides the tools for caregivers and their families to make educated and informed decisions about managing care. It provides concise informative articles, assessment tools, provider directories to assist families in planning, making decisions and connecting with resources that can assist them in their time of need. t from the other senior care sites is the family portal. The family portal allows families to collaborate and gives them the tools to collectively mange the care of their loved one. It allows family members to send and track updates on their health condition. It provides a diary from each family member to log and track their observations of events that need to be reported to health professionals. It provides a repository to upload and share critical document like living will, health directive, completed application for a nursing home and prearranged funeral arrangements. Finally the family portal provides a contacts listing. This is to be used to records all the individuals and services that you are using to manage their care. Whether it is the address of their preferred pharmacy, family doctors, dentist or hairdresser, everyone knows who to contact when a need arises.

As I begin sharing with friends that I plan to retire early, I often hear comments like, “I’ll never get to retire,” or “How are you able to retire early?”

Those conversations made me realize how many people aren't actively planning for their future. Many people don't realize that a successful retirement isn't a sprint you start in your 50s—it's a journey that often begins in your 20s and continues throughout your life.

That realization inspired me to create this page: **Life Beyond Work**.

My goal is to inspire and educate people of all ages that there is more to life than working. Here, I'll be sharing content on a variety of topics, including:
