This is more than a baseball story.

It’s the story of a young boy who refused to stop showing up — even when the game changed.

CJ’s Grand Slam Battle takes readers on a journey through fear, courage and hope, showing that real strength isn’t found in home runs… it’s found in heart.

I read something the other day that I haven’t been able to shake…

What if the way new parents stand at the nursery window — staring at their babies in complete awe…

is the same way our babies in heaven look at us?

Like…
“See her right there?
That’s my mom.”

And something about that just settled deep in my heart.

Because what if they’re not looking at us with sadness…

What if they’re proud?

Proud of how we keep going, even on the days it feels impossible.
Proud of how we love them without getting to hold them.
Proud of how we carry them quietly, in ways the world may never see.

What if they don’t feel like they missed out…

What if they feel chosen?

Like out of everyone in this world…
they were given you.

And even in the ache…
grace still holds us.
