Pride Month is a time to celebrate, and also an opportunity to reflect on workplace culture.

Inclusive policies matter, but day-to-day experiences matter too. Allyship at work isn’t about getting everything right; it’s about being willing to learn, listen, and take meaningful action to support LGBTQ+ colleagues.

Simple actions, using inclusive language, speaking up when harm occurs, examining bias, and building authentic connections, can help create workplaces where people feel safer, respected, and able to be themselves.

Our latest article explores practical ways to be a stronger ally for LGBTQ+ colleagues during Pride Month and beyond. 🌈

Pride Month is a joyful celebration. But in the workplace, Pride Month should also be a time for honest reflection. For many LGBTQ+ employees, work may not always feel safe, even in today’s age. Even if a company has inclusive policies on paper, the day-to-day workplace culture can still send mixe...

Anxiety affects many people and can impact daily life in ways that are difficult to recognize from the outside. While anxiety can feel overwhelming, practical coping strategies may help reduce its intensity and create a greater sense of control.

Simple techniques such as calming breaths, reframing anxious thoughts, and practicing supportive self-talk can make a meaningful difference over time.

Reminders like “I can cope with this” or “This too shall pass” may help shift perspective during stressful moments.

Creating space for conversations about mental health encourages people to seek support early, before stress becomes unmanageable.

Workplace mental health awareness has improved, and that’s worth recognizing.

More conversations are happening.
Stigma is decreasing.
Resources are expanding.

At the same time, many employees are still navigating stress, uncertainty, and hesitation around accessing support.

That doesn’t mean progress hasn’t been made, it means there’s more opportunity to connect people to the support that already exists.

A few simple ways to help bridge that gap:
• Clearly communicate how to access benefits
• Reinforce that support is confidential
• Normalize using resources early, not just in crisis
• Offer consistent, easy-to-understand reminders

Sometimes the most meaningful change isn’t adding more, it’s making support feel easier to reach.

Mental health awareness in the workplace has come a long way over the past few years. It’s much more common to hear conversations about stress and emotional well-being at work than it used to be, and many organizations have made an effort to bring these topics into the open. That progress matters ...

Stress is a normal part of life, but chronic stress is a different story.

While short-term (acute) stress can sharpen focus and improve performance, long-term stress can negatively impact nearly every system in the body - from sleep and immune function to heart health and mental well-being.

Many chronic stressors are easy to overlook because they’re part of daily life:
• Ongoing fatigue
• Financial strain
• Caregiving responsibilities
• Constant “busy” schedules

The key takeaway: We may not be able to eliminate stress, but we can change how we respond to it.

Simple strategies like mindful breathing, movement, and shifting your perspective can help regulate your stress response and build long-term resilience.

Small, consistent changes can lead to meaningful improvements in overall well-being.

On Bipolar Awareness Day, it’s important to recognize:
• Early warning signs like sleep disruption, mood shifts, and impulsivity
• The value of consistent routines and professional support
• The role we all play in creating supportive, stigma-free environments
Supporting mental health isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about showing up, listening, and encouraging care when it’s needed.

Self-Harm Awareness Month reminds us how critical accessible mental health care truly is.

Self-harm is often a coping response to deep emotional distress, not a personal failure. When individuals have access to timely, confidential support, they are more likely to find safer ways to cope and move toward recovery.

Employee Assistance Programs can play a key role by providing immediate guidance, counseling, and connections to ongoing care.
