Our EKG class participated in an Escape Room challenge where they had to crack the code at 5 different stations before gaining access to the patient. All 4 teams completed the challenge within a minute of each other. It was an intense and fun challenge. We will be completing escape rooms each 9 weeks with the complexity increasing helping to sharpen skills learned in class.

🚑 A NEW CHAPTER FOR SUWANNEE HIGH SCHOOL! 🚑

Today is a milestone worth celebrating! We are so excited to introduce the inaugural Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program at Suwannee High School! ❤️💙

This group of students is taking the first step toward learning the knowledge, skills, compassion, and confidence needed to respond when someone needs help the most.

As an Allied Health Instructor, I couldn’t be more proud to watch these students step into this opportunity. They are not just learning about emergency medicine—they are learning what it means to serve, lead, stay calm under pressure, and make a difference in their community.

Who knows? The classroom we begin in today may be the starting point for tomorrow’s EMTs, paramedics, nurses, firefighters, physicians, and other healthcare heroes. 🚑🩺🔥

To our inaugural EMR students: embrace the challenge, ask questions, learn from every experience, and remember why you started. Your community needs people willing to step forward when others need help.

Here’s to the first class, the beginning of something special, and the future healthcare and first responder professionals of Suwannee High School!

We spent the weekend of spring break in Orlando at the HOSA Competition (SLC) Victoria Minier won regionals and competed valiantly at State. She did an amazing job representing Suwannee High School. Arianna and Te’Darius represented wonderfully as Courtesy Corp members and we all learned a ton and made connections that boosted our leadership skills. We are looking toward next year already.
