A Stanley Cup champion. A hockey legend. A father. A teammate. A friend.

Last week, the hockey community lost Claude Lemieux to su***de at the age of 60.

It’s a painful reminder that mental health challenges can touch anyone. Success doesn’t make someone immune. Achievement doesn’t eliminate struggle. And often, the battles people face are invisible to those around them. As fans gather to celebrate the Stanley Cup Playoffs, we’re also reminded of something bigger than hockey: struggle isn’t always visible.

Check in on your people. Reach out when you’re struggling. Ask the hard questions. Have the conversation.

You never know who might need it.

In 2024, su***de-related deaths were four times higher among males than females.

This , let’s remember that seeking help is a sign of strength. By supporting one another, fighting su***de, and challenging stigma, we can build a future where no one suffers alone.

Loss is shocking and you have the right to experience your own unique grief.

Living with grief can be distressing and leave you feeling depleted. A support group can help you to transition through your grief in a safe and supportive environment where you can talk about that grief and experience all kinds of emotions in the process.

Chaycee represented Rural Resilience today at Resource Access Day (RAD) in Gardiner — one of the five communities we proudly serve with mental and behavioral health support for students and families.

It was a great opportunity to connect with community members, share resources, and continue building relationships that strengthen support systems for youth across rural Montana. We are grateful to be part of events like RAD that help increase awareness, access, and collaboration within our communities.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about our mission and services. Together, we are creating stronger, healthier communities for our students and families. 💙
