So the Birth Doula you wanted to hire is booked. Now what? Here are some ways you can support her or work with her even if she can't attend your birth.

*Ask if she teaches any classes, and if she does, take it!

*Hire her backup. Oftentimes the backup a Doula decides to utilize practices very similarly, and you'll be in great hands.

*Like, comment or share her posts on social media.

*Attend Vendor events where she has a booth set up!

Questions We Think Every Family Should Ask Before Hiring a Doula

Hiring a doula is personal.
You’re inviting someone into one of the most vulnerable, emotional, and life-changing moments of your life, and you deserve to know what kind of support you’re actually getting.

Here are a few questions we think *every* family should ask before hiring a doula:

❔What happens if you are sick or at another Birth?
❔How many clients do you take each month?
❔What kind of support is provided before and after birth?
❔What does communication look like when I'm pregnant?

And honestly?
You should also ask yourself:

👉 Do I feel safe with this person?
👉 Do I feel heard?
👉 Do I feel judged or supported?

Because doula support is about more than certifications or Instagram posts.
It’s about trust, communication, and knowing you have someone in your corner when things feel intense, uncertain, or overwhelming.

The right support should feel steady, not stressful. 🩷🩵
